Oh, look! There’s a newbie in the house. Yes, the bh team is getting a little plumper, beauties.
My name is Cherie Herrmann and I’m the shiny new addition to the brilliant bh team. Along with Deb, Liv and Carli, I will be tap, tap, tapping away at my keyboard to ensure all of you have the latest beauty news, reviews and how-tos at your fingertips on a daily basis. And boy, it’s going to be fun.
As for a short bio, I first discovered make-up around the age of two. At this point in time I thought covering my entire face in red lipstick was a good idea, but it turns out it’s actually a very bad, ultra-messy idea. (Or so my mum tells me…) Since celebrating a few more birthdays and completing my journalism degree, I’ve spent my days immersed in the world of online beauty writing and loved every minute of it. Oh, and I have a serious case of product addiction so I’m certain we’ll all have a LOT to talk about.
Anyway, in an attempt to fill this blog with actual beauty advice, here are the first of many pearls of beauty wisdom I’ll be sending your way… Enjoy!
Tip #1: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen to your face and décolletage every single day. These areas in particular are extremely susceptible to premature environmental ageing, and this liquid white stuff is the best – and cheapest – anti-ageing product out there.
Tip #2: Mixing a little illuminator with your foundation is a very smart idea. Not only will it make you look alive and wonderfully fresh, it’ll also fool everyone into thinking you’re the owner of the naturally luminous skin.
Tip #3: Applying bright lipstick is the simplest way to freshen up your face and distract people from tired, puffy eyes. Being the terrible sleeper that I am, I’m forced to use this trick all the time and it works an absolute treat.
Tip #4: If you haven’t already, please give Garnier Miracle Skin Protector BB Cream a whirl. This complete gem will forever hold a place in my make-up bag as it makes my skin look amazingly fresh, youthful and radiant. You’ll love it.
Tip #5: If you’re a fan of at-home tanning, opt for a mousse formula. It dries super-quick and leaves you feeling anything but sticky, which fake tan users will know is an utterly wonderful thing.
