The brainchild of Harvard graduate Grace Choi, the ‘Mink’ machine will enable users to choose any colour they like and turn it into a computer-readable hex code. It then mixes pigments and raw materials to create a beauty product.

Mink is set to retail for $300 and has the ability to connect to any computer.

While the possibility of producing our own make-up is alluring, we wonder if the machine may detract from the tactile experience of browsing in store for products.
