Face halo

I’m sure many of you have heard about the Face Halo, a microfibre make up removing wipe that you just add water to and it’s suppose to get rid of ALL your makeup with no need for any kind of remover (other than oil for stubborn makeup). It’s more eco friendly as you get 200 uses out of each wipe and better for your skin since its just water.
I wanted to know if any of you ladies have tried it? liked it or hated it maybe? I did purchase a packet recently I’ve only used it twice so I can’t give an proper opinion on it cause i used it on very light makeup days but i love the idea of it and how it’s much more eco friendly it is. I’ve been so many youtube videos on it removing a full face of makeup and even Chloe morello using it which she is affiliated with the company. Any way ladies (and maybe gentlemen) … thoughts?

I was searching for a forum topic on this but to my surprise there wasn’t any that I could find so I decided to start one 🙂

I really like my face halos. When I’m wearing a full face of makeup I generally still use a cleanser to get as much makeup off as I can then the use my face halo to get rid of anything left over for a deep clean

I want to get some of these but not for removing makeup more like removing a mud mask on your face & I’ve looked at a few videos on YouTube- they have only got it for makeup, has anyone else tried it for a mud mask? I use face washes to remove a mud mask from my face but after washing it- it always stains it so I want to try out these one’s for that. Has anyone tried for this?

Yep waste of money as they don’t remove mascara so you still need to use make up remover 🙁

I’m very curious about the Face Halo as I am trying to go natural and reduce the amount of chemicals I use. I was wandering through Chemist Warehouse today and found a pack of four little microfibre clothes by Manicure for $7.50 (a pack of 3 Face Halos is $30). I just tried the Manicure one for the first time just now and I’m quite impressed. Hopefully they last a while – Face Halo reckon you get 200 uses (or washes?) out of theirs.

Sorry – Manicare, not Manicure. There are reviews on BH, its currently 4/5 from 59 reviews which is not bad at all.

Guys it is just a micro fibre cloth….she put her name on it and that’s why they are able to sell it for $30. Go to Coles, to the cleaning section, or to your local Daiso, find a micro fibre cloth that will retail for no more than $4 (for three of them), put in in water, just like she does…it works exactly the same. Not worth the high $$$ or the hype.
Wanna clarify this is nothing against Chloe, love the girl, but honestly….it’s just a fibre cloth, your paying for her name on the box.

I have the face halo and I absolutely love it! Removes waterproof makeup, foundation, lipstick Super easily with no chemicals needed. It’s really brilliant. My only complaint is that the pad doesn’t stay white very long, it gets stained really quickly and would probably be better Black to hide the stains. Oh well! Great product and makes removing makeup fun and easy.

I’ve used it a few times wearing brows (benefit ka brow) foundation powder as concealer, mascara, liquid eyeliner and it’s removed it all with no drama. Today I’m wearing cc cream so curious to see how that goes. I’m trying to find my essence waterproof mascara (which I’ve misplaced ) because that was a huge pain to remove with micellar water and coconut oil so I’m curious to see how the halo performs. Only thing I’ve noticed that’s a little difficult is removing eyeliner or makeup directly under the waterline, because the facehalo is a bit chunky so I’m still getting the hang of using it.

My daughter has 3 face halo’s and has been using them for the past month or so. I will try and remember to mention this thread to her tonight and see if she has time to pop in and share her thoughts with everyone 🙂

I don’t know anyone that has used it and worked so I would def. be keen to find out too! Hopefully someone has tried it and can give some good info!

I am very curious to see if it actually works too, I also wonder how it would work on waterproof products . But what makes me concerned is that will you be rubbing old make up products on your face even though you washed it before use ? I wouldn’t want to clog my pores like that. I feel like I would have to run my face over with micellar water again if I use it.

I`m curious about waterproof makeup if it works with this as well! I have this waterproof mascara that u want to try removing with this cause last time I wore it, it was a nightmare to remove coconut oil and makeup remover were both losing the battle against it ! That`s a good question, from my research I don`t think so. The fibres “”trap”” the makeup so you`re not just reapplying old makeup while taking off your makeup if that makes sense. I think it`s wise to wash your face with some water afterwards but from what I`ve seen and noticed that isn`t the case (from my research) I did see Chloe remove a full face of makeup with the face halo and then to show that it removed everything she went over her face again with micellar water and there was nothing else on the makeup pad. I think you have to perfect how you use it though ( I`ve only used it twice )
