Blotting Tissues

Hey everyone,
So this weekend we are celebrating my birthday and we are going out for drinks but I don’t want to end up looking like an oil slick by the end of the night haha, can someone reccomend some blotting tissues for me? I know The Body Shop have some great ones but I can’t get to one before the weekend =(

I got some from the Body Shop that look pretty good. 60 for $4.95 in a cute little pouch thing. I am yet to try them though

I prefer thicker blotting paper to blotting tissues/film..so my favourite type of blotting paper is Girl 2 Go, Cheek to chic! It’s fantastic and takes all excess oil off.

You can get it from Price Attack/Hairhouse Warehouse or some random shops sometimes. Or order online from iglamour.com, which is great because they sometimes do 50% off sales.

I also went on a massive blotting paper rampage last year to stock up and i’ve been set since. :p
I also like this – http://www.tatcha.com/shop/original-aburatorigami-japanese-blotting-papers/, they are so pretty! Mecca sells them at some exorbitant price so I bought them online.

I also own Bloom and Anna Sui, I prefer the Anna Sui to the Bloom ones. Hope that helps.

I prefer oil film rather then tissues/paper. Its more effective in my opinion. I can only find oil film instore at the ‘Asian’ cosmetic stores. Its best to buy these online in bulk though.

Look out for swisspers blotting tissues at woolworths, priceline. There is actually a review for them here.

If you can’t get blotting tissues, just use some normal tissues. At home cut some up to the size you want so that you have a little stack. Just press then really gently onto your face for a few seconds. It usually works pretty well. Just make sure it’s gentle so you don’t leave bits of tissue on your face

Alternatively you get grab a packet of tally ho from pretty much any shop that sells cigarettes. It’s pretty much the same material as blotting paper it just has one sticky edge

Manicare also does a good one – it’s a roll of paper in a little box and you tear of the amount you need 🙂

I really like swisspers oil blotting tissues. You can get them in priceline, or anywhere that sells swisspers. If you can’t find anything, a thin paper towel will work, actual tissues don’t really do anything. I know some people who use actual tissue paper from the dollar store, never tried it.
