Makeup brushes are magic. If the goal is a razor sharp cut-crease, an expertly defined cheekbone or a particularly precise pout, a great set of brushes is the way to get there.
But though the love we feel for our trusty tools is undeniable, the care we provide them with is, well, straight up sad.
Ask yourself: when was the last time you really cleaned your makeup brushes? We’re guessing the answer has you squirming (don’t worry, we’re writhing with you).
But because we’re busy people, we don’t always (read: ever) have time to stand over the sink for hours, wiping furiously until every last trace of foundation, highlighter, eyeshadow, etc. calling our brushes home has disappeared.
So, in the interest of making your life easier (and more hygienic), here are five bh-approved ways to clean your brushes in a length of time that won’t have you putting off the next clean until the following year.
It is indeed. Everytime I have to do a survey for the local shopping mall and they ask what stores Id like to see in there I mention Daiso. I keep hoping
Its so cheap but works so well. I used to simply use whatever I had on hand and a friend of mine told me off and mentioned that I should use the Daiso cleaner. I protested that I dont have a store anywhere near me so she sent me a couple of bottles and I was sold. My eldest lives in Melbourne so if I run out and dont have plans to be in a city I can send her to the store for me 🙂
I clean most of my brushes after each use, especially those for cream eyeshadows. I use whichever handwash is on the sink & brush them against the palm of my hand.

The Fenty brush cleaning sponge is way overpriced you could get the same quality product from eBay worth $3.
Guilty, so so guilty.
I have a cheaper eBay version of the Mecca one (this seems way overpriced) and it works a treat! Never tried the Fenty one but it looks interesting.
I use different products to clean my brushes: Isocol, low-sulphate shampoo, Dr Bronner's castile soap etc.
