The cosmetics line you'd never expect

With her perfectly coiffed blue-haired beehive, it was only a matter of time before Marge Simpson became a beauty icon.
In a surprise announcement, MAC has revealed it will release a limited-edition colour collection dedicated to the famous cartoon character, in celebration of The Simpsons’ 25th anniversary.
The collection will put Marge in the same category as beauty trendsetters Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Lorde, who’ve also been featured by the brand.
The make-up giant is yet to reveal specific product offerings, with the line said to be due in September.
We’re expecting a plethora of primary colours and – dare we say it – bright yellow foundation?
Do you consider Marge Simpson a beauty icon? What do you think of MAC planning a colour collection inspired by her look?

Hilarious! Simpsons fans are pretty diehard so I think this will be a sellout with people who may not usually purchase MAC products at all. Can’t wait to see what’s in it.

Just stick to the GLAM lipstick and be done with it. I sure as (ahem) won't be buying any of the limited edition Simpsons products from them!

MAC is always doing limited editions. I'm sure this was just as much a success as the other lines were :)

I'd be thinking a bright, bright gold eyeshadow, matching eyeliner & nail enamel? Maybe a subdued yellow highlighter too? And I think they'll do a blue lippie, blue eyeliner & blue enamel in Marge's hair shade

I'm fairly certain there is no Simpsons-themed colour that I would be prepared to put on my face. Yellow and blue are just not for me..

Very interesting. I would understand if OPI brought out a Marge inspired collection as they've done the likes off Miss Piggy and Kermit etc but MAC?

When I heard about this via Instagram, the first thought I had was,"How cute!" - but definitely not glamorous!
