Emily Ratajkowski has revealed her date night makeup routine for when she’s going out with husband Sebastian Bear-McClard. After washing and moisturising her skin, Emily Ratajkowski’s date night makeup started with Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation ($65, charlottetilbury.com). She applies it with her fingers so it “blends more seamlessly”.

“I’ve been obsessed with makeup for a really long time, but I just started getting really good at it maybe three years ago,” Emily explains as she continues to blend her foundation.

Next, Em tackles her brows with the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Clear. “I don’t feel like a normal person unless my eyebrows are brushed up,” she says. “There’s nothing sadder than an eyebrow when it’s smushed down.”

After her brows, Emily applies a little bit of Milk Makeup Highlighter Stick in Lit (Milk Makeup don’t ship to Australia) and then blends it in with her fingers. “My husband actually calls, when I do my makeup,  finger painting.”

“When I do my girlfriends’ makeup, I do the same look,” says Emily as she applies her highlighter. “I think this looks good on everyone.”

Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Color Matte ($42, sephora.com.au) comes next. “I use a lot of blush and even when other makeup artists do my makeup, I’m always like, ‘More blush, more blush!’,” Emily says. She pops a tiny bit of blush on the bridge of her nose and up under her eyes to make it look as if she’s just gotten some sun.

Emily then bronzes her cheeks and forehead with the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette ($97, charlottetilbury.com) before adding some more concealer under her eyes.

“As much as I really love makeup artists and I respect them so much, I do think there’s something to be said for knowing your own face,” Emily says as she applies eyeshadow in her crease from a palette she put together herself. She then uses a smaller brush to bring the same shade of shadow underneath her eyes.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil ($32, sephora.com.au) is up next and is used to highlight below Emily’s eyebrows. She then uses Glossier Lash Slick (Glossier doesn’t ship to Australia) to make her lashes look long but still natural. For her pout, it’s Pat McGrath Labs Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil ($40, patmcgrath.com) right on the lip line, followed by a tiny bit of Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème in J’adore ($43, sephora.com.au) and Pat Mcgrath’s Lust: Gloss in Blitz Gold ($45, patmcgrath.com).
