    We all know celebrities spend big bucks to look as good as they do, but I never would have guessed just how much Rihanna is willing to part with in the name of beauty. According to LOOK magazine, it’s a cool £30,000 per week (that’s around $55,000 Aussie dollars)! Yep, that’s how much money the pop singer spends on her beauty regime.

    Here is a break-down of the majority of Rihanna’s mind-boggling beauty spend:

    Dermatologist: £6,000 a week (around $11,000)
    Personal eyelash technician: £3,000 a week (around $5,500)
    Make-up artist: £2,000 a week (around 3,700)
    Tanning expert: £500 a day (nearly $1,000)
    Hair stylist: £1,500 a day (around 2,800)

    Now I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a ridiculous amount of moolah – even for a celebrity as famous as RiRi! On the other hand, it’s kind of comforting to know the stunning Barbadian singer doesn’t just wake up like that. Just imagine how ah-mazing we too could look with an extra 55k to spend…

    That's nearly $7,000 a day? Well, if she's earning enough money to cover it and she deems it an appropriate spend, then fine. However, I would rather be paying my mortgage, my bills, investing my money and doing things myself as much as possible. She is surrounding herself with sycophants syphoning off her hard-earned cash and over-enflating her ego. Should she start being less successful, who would be the first to go? Those who aren't getting paid. Too transactional. There's no value in those relationships. Get some friends, girl.

    I think it important to remember that celebrities are not just spending these amounts because they feel like it, are vain or just because they have the money. The Entertainment Industry and ultimately us have an expectation of what we think 'stars' should look like. They no longer just have to look good for an event but are 'on' 24 hours a day. To meet the unrealistic expectations they have a 'team' who they pay and create jobs for. It's the Industry. I think it is very difficult for 'normal' people to comprehend. To me the point of knowing that, not only are they photoshopped in the magazines but that it takes a team for them to like they do everyday, is for us not to compare ourselves to celebrities. Be thankful that no one expects you to look amazing and young all the time. Your weight, your your outfit and every aspect of your appearance are not going to be dissected by millions of people. For example, you don't have to lose the baby weight in 6 weeks and can enjoy that new born rather than leaving it with a nanny to go to a workout with a trainer for hours a day. I wouldn't be a celebrity for quids.

    Rihanna is going to end up looking old and crinkly like everyone else, despite all her excessive spending. I'm disgusted at how much money she's spending on her external appearance when she could feed a few villages in an undeveloped country. I wonder how she justifies the expense.

    $5.5K per week for eyelash technician? she is getting ripped off.. thats a MASSIVE wage! how many eye lash techns do you know earning almost $300k per year.... not many i'd have though!! crazzzzayy
