Moisturising Lipstick Reviews

I bought the MUD moisturizing lipstick from Woolworths when they first started stocking it. The color I ended up with is 011 Party Pout and it is beautiful! The lipstick has a nice scent that isn't over powering. It is reasonably pigmented but a few swipes are necessary to see the true colour. Party pout is a red with HEAPS of golden sparkles which look dazzling from the right angle. Unfortunately this lipstick is not long lasting; it will come off at the sight of food and you are left with the sparkles on your lips for the next few days. If you were beginning a makeup collection and wanted an instagram worthy sparkly pout this product is right for you. If you want a comfortable lipstick that is long wearing it probably isn't.

I was in Woolworths the other day and lucky me, my local store had 2 Shades of these MUD lipsticks markedly reduced. The shades were "Moroccan Sunset" and "Mauve Madness". Instead of the usual price of $5, they were reduced to $1.80. What a bargain !!!

"Moroccan Sunset" is an orangey red lipstick and "Mauve Madness" is a deep fuchsia pink. I chose the latter because I love "medium to deep pink" lipstick shades.

What I like about this lipstick is its size and packaging. Weighing 2.1g, it is very light and the lipstick case is as slim and only 8.3cm long. It fits nicely in my cosmetic purse that I carry in my handbag. I also like the bevelled shape of the lipstick tip as it helps in precise lipstick application when it come to doing the edges of my lips.

The biggest surprise I had was when I applied the shade "Mauve Madness" to my lips. It applies smoothly and does not leave my lips feeling dry but I didn't expect a lipstick that normally retails at $5 to have such good pigmentation. The colour is very "intense" to the point of being opaque !!! As is, "Mauve Madness" is a very pretty Shade but a coat of crystal gloss over it makes it look truly divine !!!

I am certainly impressed with this MUD lipstick. For depth of colour and pigmentation this cheap brand of lipstick easily rates among some of the more expensive lipstick brands like Covergirl, Maybelline and Rimmel.

As you can see, I'm so thrilled with this recent purchase that it was easy for me to give this product a 5 Star Rating :).

A sweet light berry-scented lipstick at a bargain-basement price. I have the Red Roulette which is a warm toned red and nice and summery so it could be worn through the day as well as night. It goes well with my warm skin tone and blonde hair. It's almost opaque and has loads of pigment - being a red you would expect that too!

It stays on well and I suppose with reds you are going to get that because of it's brighter shade of pigment compared to other colours. I haven't tried the other colours of this range so I'm not sure how they are.

I like the look of the nudey neutral and I probably will pick that up some time soon to try it.

The lipstick is lightly moisturising which is great because it doesn't dry my lips out.

I love how this will last for hours and doesn't change colours on my lips. It applies smoothly giving my dry lips a gorgeous finish. Very impressed in how moisturising it is to wear. The formula is quite creamy and long lasting. A great and versatile lipstick tube that fits perfectly into any of my handbags. I highly recommend you to pair the Mud moisturising lipstick with their lip pencils to create that extreme volume and fullness. Such an affordable beauty product from Mud, you can't go wrong. Another fabulous quality beauty product for a fabulous price.
