Is Lip Art The New Nail Art?

Step aside, nail art! There’s a new beauty art kicking around Instagram, and it’s called lip art.

Yes, make-up artists on Instagram are now using their pouts as a canvas for incredible colour schemes, intricate patterns and dazzling decorations.

While I will say that for those with thinner or smaller lips (including myself), this trend could be a bit tricky, it’s rather an addictive spectator sport.

This one uses actual nail decals! How clever is that?!

Sure, the designs aren’t necessarily practical for everyday, but I can definitely see them being perfect for a fancy dress party.

If you’re thinking of trying out something similar, we would suggest using a lip primer such as NYX Lip Primer or Nutrimetics Professional Lip Primer to avoid ending up with lipstick bleeds and to keep those diamantes in place. But most of all, have fun with it!

It looks gorgeous but I would constantly be worrying if I ate any of it ahah, so probably not so practical for my daily life

They're beautiful and clever, but obviously not practical for every day wear! They would probably only work well on those with nice full lips like in the above pics, not narrow things like I've got.
