How to get Ellie Goulding's peachy makeup look
Ellie Goulding, the golden girl of British music, was recently named Best Female Artist at the 2014 Brit Awards, all while looking like the perfect indie pop princess.
The 27-year-old stunned on the red carpet with a simple yet sweet side plait and peachy, pink makeup. So while Jessie J gave us the perfect example of what not to do, here’s how to achieve Ellie’s look:

When it comes to peach coloured eye makeup, something with a shimmer is best. Otherwise your slightly darker lids could make you look ill. Apply a dark rose gold colour along the crease and outer corners of your eyelids. Blend a shimmery pastel orange along the rest of the eyelid and finish with a pinch of highlighter in the inner corners. Try: jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadows in 'Rose Gold' and 'Peach Sherbet'.
Just because it’s very ‘high fashion’ right now, it doesn’t mean that every blonde woman should be tinting her eyebrows a dark brown colour. Simply filling them in with a colour slightly darker than your hair is sufficient. If everyone tried pulling off ‘Cara brows’ the world would be a scary place. Try: glo minerals Brow Powder Duos in Blonde.
A sheer pink lipstick is a great way to emphasise your lips without them becoming the main feature. If you need more definition, line your lips with a matching lip liner (or a slightly darker shade) before filling them in. Try: Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in ‘Eternal Flame’ (It looks highly pigmented in the image above but I assure you it's quite sheer) and Colour Elixir Lip Liner in ‘Pretty Pink’.
If your hair is long enough, simply pull it all to one side and plait towards your front so that its drapes over your shoulder. Secure the back with bobby pins if necessary. Once finished, pull slightly at each section of the plait to loosen. If you hair is too short to plait, you can try plaiting and attaching extensions like: WASP Hair QuikExtend Clip in Hair Extensions.
