Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick Reviews

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipstick! I goes on so smoothly and isn't drying even though it's a long lasting lippy. The colour is so vibrate and it feels really velvety on. I've got one in every colour of the matte finish, with my current favourite being the bright purple!

Shade #106 is a deep, cool (blue-based) pink, almost red but not quite. I know this colour suits me, but the matte looks so fake sitting on my lips. So wrong. Why did I buy this? I don't like matte! (Because matte is in fashion so I tried something new.) Despite the fashion, matte just doesn't look right on me. This is not the fault of the product, I just look better in gloss or satin finishes. This lippy is undeniably a true matte finish.

This lippy smells & tastes lovely: it's got that 'expensive lippy' taste & smell - lush! I only notice this upon application. The smell & taste dissipate very quickly. The feel is smooth & comfortable. Never drying even with everyday use.

Durability is pretty good. It does get on teacups & my baby nephew's cheeks, but not on my teeth! (my usual problem with lippies.) My lips look OK after drinking, but I need to reapply after eating, the colour goes patchy. This is without lipliner mind you. I always forget or don't have time.

I've continued to wear this lipstick by slicking a clear gloss on top. The colour is so rich & pretty, a perfect match for a fair complexioned brunette like myself. I won't repurchase, but I will certainly use the whole tube up - with gloss. A decent lipstick, but not for everyone. This is for the true matte aficionados.

I have the colour 107, this colour is a beautiful pigmented Brandenburg red. The long lasting formula is perfect making it easy to glide onto lips, though it was quite drying and I had to place a lipgloss over, loosing my matte look. The packaging is super cute and overall this is a fantastic matte lipstick.

These lipsticks are my holy grail formula. They last a really decent amount of time and are super pigmented. I own shades #101 #107 and #111 and they are some of the most beautiful, flattering shades. #101 is a perfect light pink, #107 is a beautiful oxblood and #111 is a true red. The packaging is super cute and they smell nice. Rimmel are my favourite brand of lipsticks and this range is the best of all.

This is, hands down, my favourite drugstore lipstick. I have the darker shades and the pigmentation is beyond wonderful. It is so rich and glides on very nicely and lasts for quite some time. I have used it both with a lip liner underneath, and without one and it is equally as good without one in terms of colour intensity. I have not tried the lighter shades, as I have mainly worn my favorite red (111) and it is a great scarlet colour with a blue undertone. The staying power is quite good also, but like most other lipsticks you will find that the intensity will fade after a couple of hours or when you drink/eat. Needless to say that I have nothing but raves for this lipstick and have recommended it to my friends, and will definitely buy again (I have started to build up quite a collection after trying one)!

The only downside is that it's not very moisturising so better worn with either a lip balm underneath or if you don't have chapped lips.

The colours are amazing and packaging is great. Comes in a variety of enticing tones and has a rich vibrant colour that holds for several hours. Yet the color doesn't appear on your lips like it is on the lipstick itself.
It's also very moisturising

I first went looking for this product when I saw a picture of Kate Moss wearing the most beautiful deep purpley-red lipstick. That lipstick turned out to be Lasting Finish Matte in 107, so I bought it as soon as I found it. This is the only shade I own, so this is the one I will base my review on.

The tube is a nice sturdy plastic with a matte-red finish and glossy black accent. Quite nice looking and easy to use.

I don't love the scent, but it's not bad enough to perturb me from using it. It's less noticeable once you've been wearing it for a while.

For a matte lipstick, it's surprisingly easy to apply. Some matte shades can be quite patchy and drag the skin, but this one goes on smooth, creating a mostly matte finish (it has a very slight sheen). I tend to always blot my lips, which removes this sheen anyway. Matte lipsticks can make lines in the lips and dry patches more obvious, so it's important to prep your lips well prior to application (exfoliate and moisturise). Although, shade 107 is not particularly bad when it comes to this, and my lips don't feel overly dry after wearing this lipstick.

It's very pigmented and the colour (107) is beautiful. The colour range overall looks quite nice, so I'm interesting in trying some others. The staying powder is definitely better than a creme-finish lipstick or lipgloss, but re-application is still necessary after eating and drinking.

I bought this based on a recommendation from youtuber Zoella. It is a beautiful and affordable matte lipstick from a reliable brand.
The packaging is classy and sleek. It comes in a red tube with the Kate Moss symbol and signature on it. I think that the Kate Moss lipsticks are generally beautiful rich colours as is her signature look.
The formula is a beautiful satiny lipstick that glides on with ease and dries matte. It is moderately long lasting especially when applied with a brush, blotted and set with powder. It doesn't have much of a scent, mostly a generic make up scent that disappears after application.
I have the 107 colour which is a beautiful deep burgundy red. It such a rich colour that looks stunning with my pale features. If you are a fan of Zoella, it's a lipstick she wears all the time. I wear this colour most often in autumn and winter as I find it can be a little strong in summer.
If you are pale skinned and are interested in darker lipsticks then give this a go. It's affordable and reliable and one of my favourites. It is striking and can make a simple look go from normal to wow!

Rimmel's Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks continue to be the only budget matte lipstick I enjoy using regularly. I own a few shades, of which 103, a very wearable pink, and 111, my all time favourite red lipstick, are ones I reach for regularly. However the other colour I nearly all love and with the great colour range, everyone should be able to find at least one colour they love.
The formula is very pigmented. Only one swipe is generally needed over the lips. The formula is very light and comfortable on the lips and I don't find that they dry my lips out at all. The lasts power is good. I find it last all the way between meals and needs some light touch ups after eating.
The packing is great with the Kate Moss's black signature against the red. They are secure packaging and I have never had any problems with it.
Overall, this is my favourite lipstick range at the moment, and I can't rave about them enough. I have recommended them to many friends and will recommend to many more.
