Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick Reviews

Estee Lauder, in my opinion, is truly a luxury brand that everyone knows. So owning one of their lipsticks is a huge honour for me. I currently only own one of these lipsticks in 1A3- Maraschino, which is a deep red colour but more a red-cherry colour then the usual purplish-cherry colour (if that makes sense :) the colour however is not a bright scarlet red colour). Basically what I am trying to say is that it's a fabulous colour that would work well with both pale skin tones (as I am) or a more darker skin tone.

The entire Pure Colour range is extensive and every one of their colours is lovely with stunning pigmentation and a knock-out shimmer. You can be assured that there will be something to suit your style no matter what it may be, as there is absolutely a colour for everyone.

The case of the lipstick is just beautiful and really captures the essence of the brand- elegant and understated. The lipstick cap is gold and my favourite feature of this lipstick is that you can see what colour you are getting without having to open the lid. The glass bottom is a window into the colour of the tube so you no longer have to open every lipstick you own just to find one colour. The bottom of the case is flat and square so it makes standing them upright a breeze, or if you have them lying down they won't roll around like other lipstick cases do. The lipstick also has the signature EL logo on the case so when you pull it out in public you are sure to get some looks of envy from other beauty-lovers.

I have a few other lipsticks from Estee Lauder that are a part of their other ranges and I have to say that the Pure Colour range is the most long lasting and luxurious of them all. When you apply this lipstick to your lips, it does not actually feel or smell like a lipstick. I find that most lipsticks with rich colour have that drying lipstick feeling but this lipstick has a formula that is really moisturising and very easy to apply to your lips for an even colour spread. The smell is more like a gloss smell rather then that chemical lipstick smell.

The very best thing about this lipstick is the fact that it is so nourishing and your lips not only stay colourful, but they stay moisturised long into the night only needing a few touch ups with a gloss for added shine – although not needed because the lipstick itself is very smooth like a gloss, you can hardly feel the difference.

Yes $45 is a little expensive for most beauty-lovers but lipsticks last for so long and are so versatile, you can wear them with so many different outfits and they will never go out of style. Some may say you are paying for the brand name and I do tend to agree with that for most things, but when this lipstick actually delivers the burst of long lasting colour every girl dreams of then it's really an investment product that will defiantly reap some great rewards (maybe a hot date).

I am absolutely looking to expand my collection of colours so my lonely little lipstick can have some company in my makeup draw. Although, if you do think it's a little expensive for you to splurge on then why not purchase it as a gift for your sister, you mother or your best girl friend. I can guarantee any of them will love it and they really do make for very glamorous gifts.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick is a highly pigmented long wearing lipstick with a satin texture and intense colour.

Rose Tea is an opaque, muted, pinked plum with a glossy shine. It's actually a lovely shade for autumn and winter. Scarlet Siren is a rich ruby red with a subtle sheen. The colour coverage is again opaque, and it has a delicate layer of micro-fine shimmer strewn through the colour. It's a blue-based red, but there is a hint of pink in the base, too, which keeps it from leaning too far on the cooler-toned end of the spectrum.

The formula of these lipsticks is creamy, without being heavy. The silky smooth texture is simply gorgeous and feels luxurious. The Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick range stays true to its claim, lasting for six solid hours and fairly well onto the seventh hour too.

The Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick is a comfortable lipstick to wear, because it doesn't cling or dry lips out, due to the presence of vitamin E. Like many other Estee Lauder lip products, there is a faint sweetened fig scent that is detectable but not overpowering and there is no noticeable taste.

Its packaging includes a heavy metal gold lid case, with a clear base displaying the shade, making it very easy to spot in your collection!

Overall thoughts: The Estee Lauder Long Last Lipsticks are long-lasting, yet not drying and I am very pleased with their performance.

This is so moisturising! It didn't dry out my lips nor caused extra cracks/flakes. You can even tell the lipstick is hydrating simply by the glossy sheen of the head. Stunning,professional package, it makes me fell rather glamorous when applying. I find the lippie stayed on for a medium time. Example: Even though the highly pigmented colour lasted for only 90 minutes, it left a great toned-down-version-of-it-self tint which lasted for a few hours. Formula is velvety rich and I noticed it was transfer resistant. Smoking shades to choose from I now proudly own 4 Estée Lauder Lipsticks (123-FIG,161 PARFAIT,126-NECTARINE & 186-TIGER EYE) Even the names of the shades sound exotic! haha :)
My only negative comment about this product is the scent isn't the most pleasant but it isn't too overpowering.

This lipstick is absolutely great! It is very pigmented and last longing too! The thing I absolutely hate about this product though is the smell. It has a very, very bad scent!

I love this lipstick, it is one of the only ones that i have stuck to and used continually for a long time. its nice and moisturising, it doesnt have a sticky or heavy feel, and has a super nice range of colours. i have a nice pink colour, and i find that it lasts for ages aswell. the only problem i found with this was that the colours were too shiny for me, i prefer matte ones for lipstick. i usually dab it with a tissue if i want a more matte finish :)
