The $13 Tinted Balm Kerry Washington Uses On Her Eyes, Lips And Cheeks

The most stressful part of leaving the house for an event is trying to cram everything you might need into one credit card-sized clutch. Once you’ve accounted for your phone, keys and rollerball fragrance, there’s limited space left for complexion-saving touchups (oily-skin friends, we’re looking at you).

While setting sprays are great for holding makeup in place generally, once the sun comes out, us sweaters can say sayonara to our glam. However, as we’ve seen with her skin care routine (which she admittedly shares with her husband), Kerry Washington is quite the savvy shopper when it comes to her beauty collection. Now she’s back with a space-saving, affordable, multi-use product that lets you touch up your cheeks, eyes, and lips on the go.

Heading to this year’s SAG Awards, Kerry gave her Instagram followers an inside look at her purse, and in addition to the (very necessary) chocolate bar and energy drink combo stored inside, one drugstore product caught our attention. Speaking of the recently released Neutrogena Hydro-Boost Multi-Purpose Balm (which as of this moment isn’t available in Australia), Kerry gushed, “this is incredible because it does so many things. It’s a touch-up colour pigment for my lips, my eyes and my cheeks.”

What makes it most attractive, however, may be the fact that it is so compact. “It saves so much space in my purse and I love it,” the Little Fires Everywhere actress noted.

So while we patiently wait for Neutrogena’s universally flattering creamy stick to hit our shores, in the meantime if you like the sound of a 3-in-1 purse-friendly makeup product, bh recommends:

  1. For me it really depends where I’m going and because we are still wearing face masks I’m not wearing as much makeup as before so at the moment I’m only carrying a lip balm in my bag.

  2. I’m a bit confused: she’s wearing dark purple/navy eyeshadow & deep fuchsia lippy, so how could she touch up with a neutral?

I usually carry whatever lippy I’m wearing that day in my purse because I drink a lot of liquids. I haven’t worn lippy in ages as I’m still wearing my mask out.

  3. A lip balm, have to start wearing make up again now mask restrictions have lifted. Have been lazy and not wearing any make up when I was wearing a mask most of the time. I didn’t see the point in wearing it.
