This Is The Exact $12 Mascara Jodie Comer Wore To The BAFTAs

There is no one tone, formula or fragrance that fits all when it comes to beauty products. In fact, one woman’s ride-or-die foundation might be another woman’s breakout trigger. So when a product as universally suitable as mascara (not to mention one that retails for $12 in Priceline) is credited for the soft glam on actress Jodie Comer, we stop, we listen and more likely than not, we purchase.

Makeup artist Alex Babsky captured a pre-BAFTAs red carpet snap of the look in question, which he labelled “peachy-tawniness”. Within the caption, Alex left a complete product breakdown of everything he used to create the Killing Eve stars’ soft pink glam.

And quickly scanning through the list, there were no surprises to see that the moisturiser used to prep Jodie’s skin costs a cool $366 (because, of course it does) but the mascara on the other hand, was a $12 Maybelline steal.

The Falsies False Lash Effect mascara delivers on exactly what it promises: the effect of false lashes. Using a double-curved lifting brush to grab the lashes at the root, this volumising magic wand provides long-lasting length that’ll see you through any red carpet (or just any regular day in the office).

  1. Have never heard of Jodie Comer before but of course her Skincare Products especially the Moisturiser costs $366 so glad that her Makeup Artist used a low cost Maybelline Mascara Falsies False Lash Effect mascara that we can all afford.

  2. Mascaras are one thing I have to be careful of when it comes to makeup. I can use budget brand pretty much everything else, including eye makeup, but I’m often sensitive to mascaras. Unfortunately I have tried a few Maybelline mascaras and my eyes have been sensitive to them.

  3. I stuck on a Clinique one atm because it doesn’t smudge and yet washes off easy in the shower at night and there’s never any aftermath the next day which I really love about it. I can also wear it swimming so it suits me a lot.

  4. I’d like to know what that moisturiser is, was she nominated for anything? I watch a lot of British telly and her name doesn’t ring a bell. But that mascara is something I’d definitely try.. I can’t wear falsies.

  5. Mascara is one product category where you can get great quality from drugstore brands and don’t need to splurge on high end (especially when you have to chuck them after a few months for hygiene reasons). Will definitely look out for this Maybelline product, thanks!

  6. I don’t need to buy mascaras for awhile and by the time I do need to, this one will be discontinued. Not liking her necklace at all. It looks like she has a green slug on her neck. LOL skincare on the go.

  7. I love Maybelline mascaras but I also use other brands. One of my favourites is DB Centre Stage and I’ve just started wearing Maybelline Snapscara which is another tubing mascara.
