Is mineral a dirty word?

Is mineral a dirty word?

Beauties, I have a new brand to show you. A brand that I think you just might love. This announcement comes with a special shout out to our very own bh member Beauty Bee, as I know how much she just loves anything pure and organic.

Emani Minerals is a make-up line that is taking America by storm – and luckily for us, they’ve decided to hit Australian shores too. Cue the excited clap and ‘Toyota’ jump!

Emani Minerals is real mineral make-up. That is, it is derived using ingredients from the earth. It is completely
free of parabens (synthetic preservatives that have been linked to cancer) and features an entire range of cosmetics that won’t absorb into your bloodstream and potentially cause damage later. I’m personally loving the Emani Minerals Hydrating Lip Colour in Drama Queen (an eye-popping fuchsia).

The reason we question if ‘mineral’ is now considered a dirty, tarnished word, is because many mineral make-up brands still feature parabens and ingredients that aren’t organic or ‘natural’ (another iffy word there), while claiming to be true mineral make-up.

So in there lies the debate. Some people simply love make-up and don’t stop to think what’s in it.  Others do. It’s a completely personal choice, but it pays to know the facts before you decide for yourself. To learn more about the range, visit Emani’s website – and check out the amazing range. Especially the hybrid eye colours – can you say ah-mazing?

Are you a natural beauty nut or a more mainstream beauty girl?
