My makeup bag has the words ‘All I need is coffee and mascara’ printed on it. It was a gift from a friend who obviously knows me well because I couldn’t agree more. How good does it feel when you’re having a good skin day and all you need to do is pop on a slick of mascara and you’re good to go? Long, full lashes really make your eyes pop, but if you’ve got sparse, short lashes don’t despair! We’ve rounded up the beautyheaven team’s best tips to getting fuller, longer lashes.

I’ve been trialling the new Rimmel Lash Accelerator serum for a couple of months now and have noticed a considerable difference in the fullness of my lashes (and even my brows). You simply use the tip that looks like a tiny paintbrush along the lash line. I wore it overnight rather than under my mascara during the day, but you can do either. I am also obsessed with the essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara, it really separates and lifts the lashes.
A few months ago I started getting lash extensions at Lash n Brow Bar and now I’m obsessed. I have small and hooded eyes so having extensions has really helped to open them up and make them look bigger. Plus, I look ‘done’ even when I’m not wearing makeup, am at the gym or in bed sick! Infills take about 50 minutes every four weeks which I think is worth it. You just lie down under a blanket with your eyes closed so it’s really relaxing (I even fell asleep last time!).
I’ve only recently uncovered the formula for my best ever lashes: a keratin lash lift and tint by Amy Jean Brow Couture partnered with Maybelline New York’s new Total Temptation Mascara. The lash lift and tint enhances my natural lashes, making them permanently as long and dark as naturally possible; and the bristle brush on the Total Temptation Mascara leaves my lashes looking dense and full without clumping. It’s a winning combo.
My secret to achieving my best lashes is using an eyelash curler. I was unsure if an eyelash curler actually lived up to the hype until I started using the Shu Uemura eyelash curler . A cult product for a reason, this is super easy to use and gives your lashes that extra lift, meaning all you need is a slick of mascara to make your eyes pop.
I swear by my eyelash extensions! Yes, they’re expensive and you have to stay still for at least an hour while you’re getting them done. But they save me SO much time in my beauty routine! With my lash extensions I always feel polished and I feel more comfortable not wearing any makeup – which is a big plus for me with summer just around the corner. I get mine done at Amy Jean Brow Agency in Sydney.
How about you? What are the products or treatments that you swear by for killer lashes?
