Inside beautyheaven: shopping, skincare and top beauty treats

This week on beautyheaven, we’re telling it like it is. And as always, we’re listening too. Inside you’ll find features on shopping, fragrance and all the latest beauty news, sourced with love just for you.
Ever thought about cosmetic surgery? It’s one trend that’s gaining momentum by the minute and we’re keen to know exactly how you perceive going under the knife to change your looks. Never a decision to be taken lightly, it is nonetheless a decision many of us will face at some time.
On a lighter note, we’re inviting you to join us at the bh headquarters with our new regular feature, Office Gossip. That’s where you’ll find all you need to know on what’s hot and what’s not in our world. Be prepared for a chuckle and drop us a line about what’s on your radar as well.
Knowing how much you love to shop for all manner of beauty boosters, we’ve hit the pavement to uncover a series of exquisite Unique Boutiques across Australia. Talk about retail therapy! I’m feeling separation anxiety at the thought of not being able to shop again until the weekend.
Which reminds me, there are a few luscious treats at the top of my beauty shopping list. First up, Laura Mercier’s new Mineral Primer and Finishing Powder. Apparently it goes on in a flick of the wrist and is much lighter than many mineral foundations on the market.
I’m also going to beat the mid-winter blues with a St Tropez spray tan. It’s been far too long between tans and I’m looking forward to facing the world with a golden glow.
What’s on your beauty wish list?

I LOVE this image! The models have similar hair colour, length and texture as mine and the one on the right has a fringe like mine too...we're twins! What is on my beauty wishlist: Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv cream, La Prairie, La Mer Treatment Foundation, anything from Pevonia, Eles, Jurlique and Bare Minerals. Bliss xx

I say if you can afford to look beautiful, do it! Cosmetic Surgery is becoming more accessible every day, and most people can afford it. I dont think surgery is best for everyone, but each to there own, and if you wanna do it - do it!

Ah the hair of those models is to die for! My hair has the exact same waves, those exact waves! but it also has an unruly frizz. In that picture the girls seem to have mastered the frizz and unleashed the hidden beautiful natural wave curl. I really would love to know their secret.. Infact I'm going to start a thread in the forum about this now...

Miakat - that click manicure sounds like it'd be at the top of my list! Oh goodness, I want one ;) No cosmetic surgery for me, I'd rather age gracefully. xx

My beauty wish would to own every lip gloss and lip scrub there is. As far as cosmetic surgery my girls may not be where they were in there twenties but that said I am not going through pain to have my puppies lifted even if I could afford it. I can understand people who need it to repair accidents/traumas that have happened to them I am so for that ( sorry it's one of those days where I can't find my words so sorry if I am not using the right wording ) or even for when you get older I just don't understand people who are only 18 having face lifts and boob jobs when they are already gorgeous. If they only knew everything goes downhill much older then that and wish we looked like we did when we were 18. Author sighs as she looks down and leaves to use her lip scrub and lip gloss.........

my beauty wish list hmm, GHD? I do need another Radiant Touch pen from YSL. What I would love though is to have laser done on the broken capillaries on my cheeks - I need to find a good trustworthy salon first - I have had them my whole life and I hate them. I am considering a boob job to lift and reshape my boobs, as I breastfeed 2 babies for a year each - they're not what they use to be and I am still only in my 20's and I don't feel confident in swimwear anymore - I don't want them bigger (I am a D - DD cup now!) just higher - I have told the hubby thats what I want for my 30th LOL

Oh I'd love to try the Laura Mercier Minerals - I love her products, so I'm sure the mineral foundation is gorgeous!! Hmm on my wish list at the moment is: Benefit's PosieTint, Chanel Precision Hydramax + Active (I tried a sample and am hooked, it's beautiful!), SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, and some really good tweezers. Am I asking for too much? ;)

Cosmetic surgery is really NOT on my wish list. Old and wrinkled as I am, I've seen too much surgery go wrong. Wrinkles are nice - they show you've lived a life. So what is on my wish list? A new cupboard to fit all my current cosmetics into, then some more leave in conditioner, then some more perfume, and another cupboard ....
