Pinterest has unveiled (pun strongly intended) its global Wedding Report for 2018. The social media platform has billions of wedding ideas. And, given that they predicted some of our fave beauty trends for this year, we have a feeling these wedding ideas will be popping up left, right and centre.

It seems everything wedding is being taken down a notch. The report shows that comfort and simplicity are being prioritised. (So expect to see agile brides strutting down the aisle in flats and jumpsuits.)
Makeup
In the beauty department, it’s back to basics. Brides are going for the natural look with barely-there shine (up 343%) and lip gloss. There is one statement feature amping up this natural glam though: long, lush lashes.

Hair
Gone are the days of slicked back, spotless strands. Searches for messy updos have increased by 1247%. And, soft waves with side parts are also trending.

Food
Pinterest has even predicted wedding trends in food. I don’t know about you guys, but I have a lot more vegan pals than I did a few years ago, so it makes sense that vegan wedding food is set to be a big trend, with searches up by 186%.
If a vegan wedding cake isn’t your thing, then perhaps you’ll prefer a fig cake. Searches for fig cakes are up 575% – and they’re super pretty! Pretzel bars are also predicted to be popular.
