The new season beauty essentials that beauty editors swear by

A change of season can have just as much of an impact on your beauty routine as it does on your wardrobe. Your skin care needs change, your tan will start to fade, and you’ll suddenly get the urge to work a new season colour palette into your makeup routine. With the cooler weather briskly approaching, there’s a lot more to consider than jackets and ankle boots.

If you’re not sure where to start, watch the video above to see how I change up my beauty routine for the new season.

Can’t watch the video? Here are a few of my favourite tips:

  1. A change of season can cause your skin to freak out, prompting your oil glands to work overtime. So even though your skin might seem oily, it’s actually just dehydrated. Switch to an oil controlling moisturiser like the A’kin Oil Control Mattifying Day & Night Cream. To find out more about this product, click here.
  2. Year round, I like to keep two foundation shades — a winter shade and a summer shade. This allows me to customise my shade year round, so it’s always a perfect match. I use Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10.
  3. It’s nice to change up your colour palette as the seasons change, and your eyeshadow palette is the perfect place to start. For Autumn, I like the Natio Natural Nudes Mineral Eyeshadow Palette.
  4. A vibrant matte lip is definitely on trend for Autumn. I love the Chi Chi Super Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade OH SWAG MONEY, which is a perfect, warm Autumn shade.
  5. Swap your light, summer fragrance for something a little more bold. Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria is my pick for the best Autumn fragrance.

What are your new season beauty essentials? Have you tried any of the products that we mentioned in the video?
