5 makeup products that'll shave years off

Noticed a few wrinkles here and there? Are your crow’s feet and smile lines getting you down? Has pigmentation and uneven skin become the bane of your existence? Well, chances are you’ve started investing in skin care products to reduce those fine lines, even out your skin tone and bring your skin back to its former radiant, youthful glory.
But have you considered changing up some of your make-up products? While your current ones aren’t exactly doing any damage, you could be using a whole slew of make-up products with anti-ageing benefits – meaning you’ll be tackling those signs of ageing on two fronts.
Here are some make-up products to add to your anti-ageing arsenal:
PRIMER
jane iredale Smooth Affair Facial Primer & Brightener

Yes, this is a primer, so it will work to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores, but it also contains a whole bunch of ingredients with anti-ageing benefits. There’s grapefruit, which improves skin radiance; apple extract, which helps to maintain skin elasticity; and green and white tealeaf extracts, both of which have anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties. Your skin will be left looking brighter, smoother and more even: the ideal canvas for your anti-ageing foundation.
FOUNDATION
Dr. LeWinn's Skin Perfect Foundation Anti-Ageing Foundation SPF15

There are foundations that can help to hide and conceal the telltale signs of ageing, and then there are foundations that do that and actively work to fight those pesky signs. This formulation helps to visibly reduce the appearance of those annoying lines and wrinkles, while ingredients like rose stem cell, matrixyl synthe’6 (an anti-ageing peptide) and hyaluronic acid work below the surface to leave skin smoother and firmer.
CONCEALER
Almay Wake Up Makeup™ Undereye Concealer

While dark circles and puffiness aren’t only due to ageing, they’re definitely a huge concern for older women. The Almay concealer contains pigments that help to refresh and brighten skin around the eyes, as well as cooling and energising ingredients (like cucumber, aloe vera and green tea) to calm the skin and reduce puffiness. Oh, and what are the bonuses besides the natural, luminous finish? The formula is hypoallergenic and ophthalmologist tested – perfect for those with sensitive skin and eyes.
BLUSH
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush

When it comes to blush and ageing skin, cream is always a good option. Sometimes powders settle into fine lines and wrinkles and enhance them, making you look older. This cream blush not only glides on easily and blends like a dream to create a fresh, flushed glow, but it also contains the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide triple complex and vitamins A, C and E to treat those signs of ageing at the same time.
LIP COLOUR
Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine

Unfortunately, with ageing skin comes thinner lips. It has to do with that whole loss of collagen thing. The Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine helps to solve that small problem by plumping up your lips, leaving them looking fuller and more youthful. Plus, the gloss contains micro collagen lip-filling spheres, which draw in moisture to fill in those fine lines around your lips. And with such a big shade range, there’s bound to be a colour to suit every occasion.

I have never put any thought into using anti-ageing products as I am only a teenager but so many of these products are just like the ones I use but with one difference; anti-ageing benefits. Maybe I'll start using them now anyway then!

I love anything with SPF in it - preferrably natural but that's hard to come by. I do love the Sunsense SPF50 for anti-aging as it surely will be a preventer of some of the ageing things?

Some great products here. I love the fact that they tackle anti aging issues, skin care and make-up in one fabulous package....very clever.

When I've looked at ingredients lists for supposed anti-ageing cosmetics, the ingredients are listed towards the end which means they are not in a high enough percentage to achieve anything. I prefer to receive anti-ageing benefits from skin care products. I love the pictured Mirenesse lip gloss - it has a lovely glossy shine and it doesn't dry out my sensitive lips.

I don't look for makeup that has anti ageing benefits, I figure that's what my skincare is for. In saying that, makeup that is good for the skin is certainly an added bonus. I love the Dr LeWinn's anti ageing foundation!

I find most anti-aging products are too rich for my oily skin.

I absolutely love the Mirenesse lip range. It makes my lips smoother and they actually look a little fuller. The colour range is lovely. Their make up is fabulous too. Because it is so light it does not look like you are wearing make up that has been trowelled on by a bricklayer!

I choose skincare products which have anti-aging properties more so than makeup.

That's a good idea but I am skeptical with the 'actual' anti aging effect from cosmetics. I believe in anti aging skincare and effective sunscreen. By the way the Elizabeth Arden blush looks so nice.
