Would you like to try a luxury foundation for less?

Call me easily pleased, call me a little lame, but I get a wee bit excited when I find my favourite instant coffee is on special at my local supermarket. I also find a cracker of a smile spreading across my face when I head into my favourite clothing store only to find it’s offering 30 per cent off storewide for that day only. Talk about brilliant timing!
So you won’t be surprised by the glee that resulted when I stumbled into a department store recently to stock up on a much-loved foundation and found it was no longer $68, but $50 instead. FIFTY DOLLARS! That’s an $18 price drop, people. I mean, I could buy another lipstick with that leftover coin.
But what was the foundation in question, you ask? Lancôme Teint Miracle Natural Light Creator SPF 15 in 01 Beige Albatre, actually. (It’s a glorious foundation, by the way. It leaves my skin glowy and natural looking, and covers imperfections without looking like a mask.) I’ve been using it on and off for around 11 months, and now that the bottle is empty, I am only truly feeling the effects of the Lancôme price harmonisation that occurred back in August 2012.
Were you aware that Lancôme had aligned its Australian prices with those around the globe? And have you heard of its new “Love Lancôme, Love Our New Foundation Prices” campaign? It’s all about the brand’s commitment to lowering prices (its Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation was $68.00 and is now $55.00, and the new Teint Visionnaire foundation duo is only $65.00) and making buying luxury products a reality for more of us. This is also wonderful for those of us who are keen online shoppers, because it means we can get great value on our own turf. (And no more waiting for the postie to arrive!)
But do you know what’s even better than a price drop? Trying something for nothing. Nada. Zilch. And right now, Lancôme is giving us all the chance to take these three foundations for a spin. You can find your perfect shade here, and once you fall in love with your ideal foundation, you can thank me for alerting you to its new purse-friendly price when it comes to purchasing your own bottle. We beauty lovers need to look out for each other, right?
Are you a fan of luxury foundations? Are you pleased to hear Lancôme has price-matched its products in Australia with those overseas? Will you be signing up to trial any of these foundation?

Lancome was not a foundation brand I'd considered before due to the price, but now I'm definitely going to try it especially as the reviews are so good on Beauty Heaven.

With Microsoft and Adobe ripping off Aussies with ridiculous licensing fees it's good to know the important things in a girls life are coming down in price!

Heard about it sometime ago. About time companies adjust their prices, considering the high AUD & the amount things cost in US, we have grossly inflated prices here!

I'm a Lancôme girl from lipstick to perfume. I tried the Teint Miracle and the Visionnaire. I would love to trial Lancome's Teint Visionnaire or Teint Miracle natural light corrector SPF 15. I'm really pleased that their prices has gone done. It would be nice if thr price of Hypnose star mascara also goes down too. How do I get to join the trial team to trial these fabulous foundations? Please choose me!

I have heard Lancome is 1 of the best but have not been lucky enough to try it because it's still abit over my limit and there are no shops where I live.Plus it is not that often I'm up to driving 100 miles to town to do shopping have a back injury & find it hard to get about. Will get some with luck because I really need it/Glad you had it in your list. Thanks from Dianne 542

I've been shopping, MYER did a mini makeover to show me the Teint Visionaire and I loved it. Unfortunately then had to go to DJ's to buy as MYER didn't have my colour in stock.

Wow an $18 price drop is amazing, hope that other brands follow. Australians pay ridiculous prices for cosmetics compared to the same brand and product internationally.

Yes, I am. This is excellent news! I spent $80 on Lancôme foundation a couple of years ago, so $50 is a bargain. Their lipsticks are still expensive at $48 or so. I will try and trial these new foundations. I'm glad I can buy them cheaper instore at Myer or DJs as I like to do. : D
