Get the look: date night makeup

Ooh la la! Got a hot date coming up, do you?
As wonderful and as exciting as dates can be, they can be equally as terrifying – especially if it’s a first date. So please, allow us (and Express Makeup author, make-up artist Rae Morris) to take away some of the stress by showing you how to create the perfect date-night look.
Step #1:
With a medium eyeshadow brush, apply a soft matte grey eyeshadow along your entire eyelids, stopping under your brow bones. If you have trouble blending your eyeshadow, pick up translucent powder with a clean brush and use it to blend.
Use a medium-sized brush to apply the same colour under your eyes, and then use an angle brush to apply a darker shade of grey along the lash line.
beautyheaven recommends: Revlon CustomEyes Shadow + Liner in Smoky Sexy.
Step #2:
Apply a black kohl pencil along your top and bottom lash lines, then softly smudge with a small eyeshadow brush. Curl your lashes, apply lots of black mascara to your top and bottom lashes and clean up any fall-out.
beautyheaven recommends: Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black, Revlon Extra Curl Eyelash Curler and Revlon Fabulash Mascara.
Step #3:
Use liquid foundation mixed with luminiser to highlight your skin all over.
beautyheaven recommends: Revlon Nearly Naked Makup and Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator.
Remember: boys may find a caked-on face of make-up a bit too much and a little over the top, so keep your coverage simple, subtle, and naturally gorgeous. This combo will give you the coverage you need whilst still leaving your skin looking fresh, glowing and beautifully radiant.
Step #4:
Using a kabuki brush, apply cream blush high on your cheeks. Don’t smile as you apply the blush, or you’ll create lines.
This look is great with just a little bit of lip balm, but you can also even out your lips with a nude lipstick.
beautyheaven recommends: Revlon PhotoReady Crème Blush and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Skyline Pink.

In love with that smokey eye! I didn't even realise it was grey, it looked more like brown

I think it's refreshing you can still see her freckles. There's nothing worse these days than overdoing your base/contour, which is often what you see on Instagram.

She looks good but I think this look would be better with a different lipstick.

This makeup would totally scare my husband! I prefer a less heavy look.

Very pretty and simple yet classy look. My go to night look is some bright red lipstick and simple eye make up but mascara, curled lashes and wavy hair and done.

Great look...and sounds simple enough. But I always seem to mess it up.

I think it's a gorgeous look! Not too simple and not too over the top

Such a pretty look. I like that she still has some life left in her and her face isn't called on and matte.

Hawt stuff, I'd lighten the eye up too.

I'd recommend a small conturing?

I really like this look; I usually wear a coloured smokey eye with subtle lips, if I wear makeup at all (I have been with my fiancé for 6 years, now so 'date night' often just means going out for a quick take away these days lol).

I like this look, but I am not convinced that the lip colour was the best choice... for me perhaps something a bit more peachy would have worked better?

This is more of a party makeup for me.

This is a little intense for a date night, but I love the look anyway. Especially since I'm the sort of person that just sort of piles on the makeup, day or night, no matter what the occasion is.

The eyes are a bit over done but the skin is great
