8 of the best age-fighting foundations

We give massive props to Cate for looking this amazing at the age of 45. She’s seriously flawless, and while she does have some visible fine lines, she always manages to look youthful and oh-so-glowy.
So what’s her trick? No doubt she’s armed herself with some super-effective anti-ageing skin care products to prevent the onset and worsening of the signs of ageing. However, another weapon she most likely has up her sleeve is a foundation that not only gives her even coverage, but also has the added benefits of concealing fine lines, being packed with anti-ageing ingredients, and providing protection from the sun.
We’ve rounded up some age-fighting foundations that’ll not only disguise those tell-tale signs of ageing, but also help target the ageing process. It’s a win, win!
Anti-ageing foundations with… powerful anti-ageing technology
Mirenésse Velvet Maxi Lift Foundation
Infused with Renovageä, a youth-extending molecule, this product works as an anti-ageing treatment and a long-lasting foundation. It infuses skin with an Australian Botanical Antioxidant Complex while seamlessly concealing imperfections, saggy skin and shadows for an airbrushed finish.
Avon Anew Age Transforming Foundation
This creamy foundation will not only leave your complexion with a natural finish, it will also outsmart fine lines, wrinkles and age spots with built in anti-ageing skin care technology.
Anti-ageing foundations with… the benefits of a serum
Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2 in 1 Foundation + Serum
A foundation and serum in one, this anti-aging saviour works to blur fine lines and wrinkles. Soft-focus spheres and specially-treated pigments work to diffuse light across the face while preventing the foundation from settling into fine lines.
L’Oréal Paris NutriLift Gold Anti-Ageing Serum Foundation
Rich in precious oils and anti-ageing actives, this foundation combines the deep hydrating and smoothing benefits of a serum while pure-gold micro particles give an even and long-lasting coverage.
Anti-ageing foundations with… high SPF sunscreen
Invisible Zinc Tinted Day Wear Anti Ageing Facial Moisturising Sunscreen
A three-in-one foundation formula, this formula gives skin a glowing, golden sheer tint, plenty of hydration, and SPF 30 to prevent your complexion from the ageing effects of the sun.
Lancôme Teint Visionnaire
Leaving wrinkles, sun spots, enlarged pores and dark circles perfectly concealed, this foundation naturally evens out the complexion with the added protection of SPF 20.
Anti-ageing foundations with… added skin care benefits
Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation
This dual-purpose foundation provides the coverage of a foundation that suits all skin tones, while working to minimise the signs of ageing and provide all-day hydration.
Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind – Eraser Treatment Foundation
With the tightening and brightening benefits of goji berry and collagen, this lightweight foundation conceals fine lines and smooths imperfections for younger-looking skin.

My foundation doesn't have antiageing, I'll make sure to look for this feature when I next go shopping for foundation again.

I don't at the moment, but I wouldn't mind giving one a go, even though I have young skin, as it could prevent premature aging.

I don't wear foundation, but the L'Oreal one seems like a great choice for those after an anti-ageing foundation. I have liked the L'Oreal foundations I have tried.

I am currently using the YSL touche eclat foundation. Yes a luxe brand but at my age I felt I needed to see what these high end products dekliver as I have always used a price based product. Certainly worth it though flawless finish and great coverage without feeling thick and mask like

Cate always looks so stunning! I always use facial products such as foundation and moisturisers that contain SPF to protect my skin from sun damage and decelerate my skin from aging.
