Not only is Mardis Gras a great time to celebrate all kinds of love and honour the LGBTQI+ community of past and present, it’s also a damn good time to bust out your most colourful eyeshadow palette.
And with the Sydney parade taking place this weekend (Saturday 29th February on Oxford Street), we thought we’d best arm you with the brightest, glitter-iest and most sequin-sprinkled makeup looks we could find.

love the atmosphere at the parade, these would all suit being in the parade or a spectator. Such a wonderful event, sadly not going to go this year, but may tune in on the telly.
I'm hoping I won't get caught up in 'detoured' traffic on Saturday because I'll be driving to the bh event – I'd better check the road closures!!

I don't celebrate Mardi Gras, but I like to watch the parade if it's televised – most years it isn't.
That was my favourite too! I find yellow eyeshadow on the inner corner is very flattering, so I use it with lots of looks, but the @jamescharles pic was next level!
Yes! I'm not usually into blue eyeshadow, but this multi-tonal aqua to blue look was sublime!

My favourites are no.3 (the rainbow eyes) and no.15 (soft purples). I love all the colour and glam.

Love the Nikki and JamesCharles ones, so pretty. Even if I had the skills to do them I don't think I would have the confidence to wear those looks.
Some interesting looks here, but definitely not my style. But I can certainly see that a lot of hard work has gone into creating them.
