How-to: apply eyeshadow using two colours
Eyeshadow application can be quite difficult to master. There seems to be a fine line between looking like a drag queen and looking like you’re not wearing any at all. This video will show you how to apply it using two colours, and it also offers tips and tricks for creating any eye look. Or alternatively, check out our step-by-step below.
Step 1: Find your eye crease
Grab the darker colour of the two, and swipe the small angled brush across the eyeshadow. Then, with your eye open, apply pressure above the eyeball and trace along your crease from the middle to the outer corner. The crease will act as a guideline and stop you from going overboard with your eyeshadow.
Step 2: Make a ‘v’ shape
Using the same brush and shadow colour, join the end of the line you created to the bottom corner of your top lid in a ‘v’ shape.
Step 3: Fill in
With an eyeshadow brush and the dark shadow colour, fill in the outer corner of your eye, using the lines you’ve created a guide. Wipe away any residue from the brush and then apply the lighter colour, filling in the remainder of the eyelid and overlapping just a little with the darker colour.
Step 4: Blend
Using a blending brush, start from the outer corner and blend using small circular motions towards the inner corner of your eyelid. This will soften the crease outline and create a better transition between the two colours.
And that's it!

This is a look I often wear. Can’t go without my eyeshadow. If I’m in a hurry or really CBF, I use an eyeshadow pencil. They are so quick and easy to use.

I only use eyeshadow pigments as eye liners. That is it. DO not like things on my lids, they dry the skin out and 'feel' heavy

I'll give it a whirl, my eyeshadow always looks patchy, find it difficult to know which brush to use for what. Thanks!
