Best eyeshadows for brown eyes

Ahhh, brown eyes. The most common of the iris colours. And therefore the least desired. Seriously, have you ever heard someone say, “Ugh, what I would give for brown eyes!”? Or what about, “Whhhhhyyy didn’t I get my dad’s brown eyes? Whhhhyyy?”
But you know what? Brown eyes are just as pretty as baby blues or emerald greens (having brown eyes myself gives me no bias). They can be just as striking, just as enticing, and just as covetable. And to ensure they always look their best, it’s a great – nay wonderful! – idea to enhance your peepers by picking the eyeshadow shades that’ll suit ‘em best.
BEST EYESHADOWS FOR BROWN EYES
There are two ways you can go about picking your eyeshadow shades. You can choose certain hues to intensify your eyes (so make them stand out even more), or you can go for shades that’ll complement your eyes.
If you want to enhance any shade of brown eyes, your best bet is to pick eyeshadows with blues and greens. Think navy, teal, turquoise, baby blue, cobalt blue, blue-greys and royal blues. These colours will be a wonderful contrast against your brown eyes.
Try:
Body Shop Baked to Last Eye Colour in Sapphire.
ModelCO Eye Shadow Trio in Island Fever.
Bourjois Little Round Pot Eyeshadow in Bleu Passe.
MAC Eyeshadow in Contrast.
If you would prefer to use a shade that’ll complement your eye colour, then you need to factor in the type of brown eyes you have.
For warm brown eyes
Warm brown eyes, like Camille Belle’s and Jennifer Lopez’s, are usually a bit lighter and feature more tones of yellow and green. The shades that’ll suit your eyes best are beiges, caramels, mid-browns, golds, golds with a teeny tiny hint of green, peaches, and even oranges and yellows.
Try:
Mirenesse SuperlongWear Gel Mineral Face Colour in Peach Tango.
Innoxa Eyeshadow Compact in Naturally Nude.
Chi Chi Baked Eyeshadow in Beautiful Day.
La Biosthetique Belevance Beauty Eyes Collection in Natural.
For cool brown eyes
Cool brown eyes tend to be a bit darker and deeper, and have hints of red or purple in them. Keri Washington and Jessica Alba’s eyes are perfect examples. For your eyes, it’s best to use shades like pinks (especially dusty pink), burgundies, dark browns, purples, and metallics like copper and bronze.
Try:
Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eyeshadow Palette in Seductive.
Designer Brands 12 Mineral Eyeshadow Palette in Radiant.
Mirabella Eye Colour in Sienna
asap pure mineral eye colour in three

I have dark brown eyes and i like dark brown, navy. or purple for the lid and the rest I just use the lighter shades to fill in the other areas. If I use pale on my lids I need to line (which I do anyway:))

I like the dark colours but I also mix it up with the lights too. My favourite look is dark blue eye liner & warmish green they are great together can't go wrong with that.

I tend to stick to black and white and nude shades for my reddish brown eyes.

My eyes are the cool brown look although I don't necessary agree those tones will suit me they just seem too plain. I've tried in the past light shades they are ok but I'd prefer the dark shades as those bring out my beautiful eyes & they suit me plus what ever I use has to suit my skin tone as well.

Was hoping for a little inspiration for other colours not just the usual nude shades I'm already using. Can't warm Browns pull off other colours?

No wonder I never liked beiges, caramels, browns, bronze, coppers...they are not flattering at all to my skin tone or eye colour. Thanks BH for clarifying why. My eyes are blue-green
