Icy blonde hair
Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart, Kayley Cuoco and Katy Perry have all joined the icy blonde hair club recently, and it’s not just a trend for 20-somethings-who’s-names-start-with-K – Tilda Swinton and Sarah Jessica Parker are also platinum blonde fans! The hair colour is surprisingly winter friendly, with cool tones keeping it fresh and modern. But if you’re thinking of going white blonde, there are a few things you’ll need to take into consideration. Watch the video above for my top tips!
Be a blonde bombshell: Provoke: Touch of Silver Brightening Shampoo and Intensive Conditioner, Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Miracle Filler

70s beauty
70s beauty is bang on trend at the moment – think big, bouncy hair, shimmery eye makeup and bold, glossy lips. For inspiration, we’re looking to celebrities such as Gabrielle Union and Solange, who are both embracing their natural hair and free-spirited makeup looks! Prefer not to step out of your beauty comfort zone completely? A bouncy blow dry paired with minimal makeup will make for a sexy-yet-subtle 70s reference.

Halo eyes
A favourite with beauty bloggers, this eye makeup trend is a great way to introduce a pop of colour into your makeup look. The best part? You can achieve it with just one shade! From soft pinks and oranges to smoky shades, the sky’s the limit. Watch the video above for my tips on how to nail the look, without taking it into Halloween territory.
Create a halo eye: Natio Eyeshadow Brush, Bodyography Pure Pigment Eyeshadow, e.l.f. Australia Studio Pigment Eyeshadow

Like everyone else (apparently) I love the halo eye shadow look too! Never could I pull off Platinum Blonde hair though. I may be pale, but I have auburn hair and pink toned skin...

Big blow dried hair and halo eyes - that is my new look. I like big hair and amazing eyes, I just have to make sure that I don't look to 70's style.

I don't think i will ever be able to pull off any type of blonde unfortunately,i don't think ice blonde is particularly flattering on a lot of people.Tilda Swinton has always rocked it though. I like that the 70's style is back although i tend to dress in whatever style/era i feel like regardless of fashion.

I think Halo eyes are a cool idea. Icy blonde looks amazing on everyone else except me. I just can't maintain the colour. :(

When you said 70's look I got excited and thought blue eyeshadow was back in... I have an amazing collection of blue eyeshadows.... ah well...i will use them anyway....I never follow the rules :)

I also don't follow silly beauty rules, especially for mature women. Have you kept your blue eyeshadows from a few decades ago? If so, what kind of condition are they in?

I had a friend of mine send me a bunch of blue eyeshadows that she had won as she said she would never wear them and my daughters give me any that come into their possession. I know we are not supposed to keep super old products but I do have a trio of blues that are super old.... ashamed to admit that they are 20 years old.... I know this as they were given to me by my Dads partner when they visited and she was given them as a free Lancome gift with a purchase at Myer. The colours are so beautiful that I just cant toss them away.

Meedee, you could take a photo of the eyeshadows that you love and put the photo in a frame. The framed photo would make an interesting talking point in your home.
