In this gig we’re lucky enough to get sent a lot of new products. And I mean a lot. What this means however, is that even if we tried three new products every single day for the rest of our lives, we probably still wouldn’t get through them all.
Which is why we’ve always got our eyes and ears out for new products that are getting you – our dedicated beauties – talking. Because while we can’t try everything, if we see that you’re getting excited about something, then we know it’s definitely worth trying.
So that being said, I figured I’d better get my hands on the new Estée Lauder DayWear Sheer Tint SPF15 quick smart. For those of you who haven’t read our Trial Team reviews, I’ll quickly explain that this product is an innovative tinted moisturiser, in that it adapts to any complexion, imparting a natural, even-looking glow, while simultaneously protecting your skin against the sun and other damaging elements.
Honestly, I was a little skeptical when I first read the press release. I have pretty fair skin but it’s covered in freckles, so it’s quite hard for me to find a product that leaves me with an ‘even’ complexion – let alone one that adapts to any skin tone.
I was even more skeptical when I squeezed out the first bit of product from the tube. It was a slightly iridescent, grey-ish cream, and looked nothing like a tinted moisturiser. But mark my words beauties, as I scoffed and smoothed it on to my skin, so did the grey-ish cream transform into a very sheer tint that unified my complexion and gave me a healthy glow. Exactly like it said it would on the press release!
I have since been using it every day – sometimes with a bit of extra foundation over the top if I want extra coverage – and love the way it makes my skin look and feel. I don’t say this about a lot of products, but now that I’ve used Estée Lauder DayWear Sheer Tint SPF15, I really don’t know what I ever did without it!
