2 ways to wear coloured eyeliner

Some women are all about black eyeliner. Maybe they’ll dabble in the equally-as-classic charcoal or brown. But sometimes those ladies spot a coloured eyeliner so gloriously beautiful that they want to stray away from their conservative roots. And so they buy the coloured liner, only to get home and find themselves at a loss as to how to apply it.

Well, when it comes to coloured eyeliner application, wonder no more. Because this 30-second video covers two easy-peasy ways you can wear it.

The first option is to line your top lash line. To nail this look, remember to start the liner thinner on the inner corner and thicken it as you draw towards the outer corner. If you’re feeling adventurous, give it a little flick at the end. Oh, and make sure there aren’t any gaps between your line and the roots of your lashes.

The second option is to line your bottom waterline. Should you go down this route, choose a waterproof pencil, otherwise the colour won’t last very long.

If you’re not sure what colour to pick, try a shade that will complement your eye colour. I used turquoise, because it works well with brown eyes. If you have green eyes, use a purple or plum eyeliner, and if you have blue eyes, go for a shimmery copper or bronze eyeliner.

As for the rest of your make-up look, keep it simple. The coloured eyeliner should be the focus, so stick to some mascara (and black eyeliner if you’re lining your bottom water line), and a neutral lip.
