What on earth are negative space brows?

What on earth are negative space brows?

This year the brow trends have been erm… interesting.  Somehow, we have gone from over-plucking eyebrows in the 90s, to madly filling them in, to experimenting on them like crazy.

In 2017 we have seen squiggle brows, feather brows and barbed wire brows – and that’s only scraping the surface!

Now, a makeup artist has brought us another wacky brow trend: negative space eyebrows.

Remember negative space eyeliner? That trend left skin bare on certain parts of the eye while the areas around it were filled in with makeup.

That same idea of drawing attention around a feature is now being applied to brows.

A makeup artist known as Kapasovia on Instagram, is the one who created these brows. One look at her feed and you’ll see she is regularly getting creative and experimenting with makeup.

We know it isn’t the most wearable brow trend. It’s more like makeup art. But if you like to play around with your makeup at home, or need a Halloween look, then maybe this could be your new inspiration!

In her post, Kapasovia mentioned a few products that she used to create the whole look (which also featured negative space liner). She used the M.A.C Studio Chromagraphic Pencil, Wibo Banana Loose Powder and Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Promenade and Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics.

With three months left of 2017, we’re probably in store for a for a few more crazy brow trends. What could possibly be next?!

Have you ever tried out a wacky beauty trend for fun? Or done any makeup experiments of your own?
