Kelly Rowland reveals her brow-perfecting prep

At bh, we love seeing before and after shots of celebrity eyebrow transformations, but we rarely get to witness the actual work involved.
Thankfully, Kelly Rowland’s posted some behind-the-scenes snaps, showing us exactly what it takes to get her brow wow on.
The ‘during’ and ‘after’ shots were first shared by Kel’s make-up artist, Sir John (who also works with Beyoncé).

Apparently, the singer initially went a shade lighter (which explains the bleach), then applied make-up on top for definition.
I know, it seems kind of counter-productive. But judging by Kelly’s after shot, the technique’s definitely working for her.
In my opinion, the soft, slightly lighter look is a lot more flattering than the bold brows we’ve seen in the past (although I’ll always have a soft spot for Cara Delevigne’s).
Plus, it’s a great way to get on-board the brow bleach trend, without taking it as far as former devotees Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian.
To get the effect, first use a facial hair bleach, such as:
Sally Hansen Facial Hair Bleach
Andrea Gentle Creme Bleach for the Face
Julienne Sensitive Creme Bleach (Kit)
Nair Cream Hair Bleach for Face and Body
Then, apply a brow pencil in a slightly lighter shade than your original brow hue. Here are a few member favourites:

Probably wouldn't try bleaching my eyebrows myself (I mean how can that be good for your skin!) but I really love the look of lighter brows on her! It's a flattering shade and is definitely a softer look as opposed to the harshness dark brows can give. Definitely on point for this season!

I have a hard enough time with my brows, I don't think that I will be following this one. Although it looks great on Kelly.

My brows were so thin for the longest time. I grew them out over the last couple of years which took a lot of patience and bad brow days but I am glad I stuck with it. I look like a whole different person and so much younger!

I have never bleached my eyebrows and don't plan too. I don't think it's a necessary thing to do so I wouldn't waste time doing it

I for that was hair removal cream when I first saw it - yes I do like the effect or the results. Worst comes to worst you could darken you eyebrows with a brow pencil if it went wrong.

I'll be scared to use bleach on my face, but I do want to try a lighter coloured brow tint

Poor celebs- no dignity when it comes to embarrassing pics. I wouldn't want a photo of me in brow bleach out on the web.

No, no, no - I think trying this method on my black brows would result in a disaster.

I've always hated my brows. I feel like my brow line is too heavy & masculine looking. I wouldn't mind taking mine a shade lighter, I did this when I went blonde a few years ago. This is definitely a maybe for me.
