We Review: New favourites

Here at beautyheaven, we’re always discovering new beauty products. But it takes something really great to make it into our at-home routines.

This month, we’re reviewing four of our new favourite new beauty products. From the highlighter powder that’s giving bh’s Sophie a gorgeous glow, to the hand cream that saved bh’s Rosie’s parched hands, the coffee body scrub that has bh’s Eloise feeling super smooth, and the hair brush that’s cut bh’s Kate’s hairstyling time in half.

Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Powder

bh’s Sophie says:

“My favourite makeup look of all time is a gorgeous, glowy base, so I’m always up for trying new a new cream, liquid or powder highlighter. Lately I’ve been using the Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Powder in Golden Sand and I’m officially impressed! This powder looks so stunning when applied on top of foundation with a highlighting brush. It’s really easy to blend and leaves you with a nice, healthy glow. For a super natural, dewy makeup look, I like to scrape a bit of powder onto the back of my hand, mix it with some finishing spray and apply to my cheeks with my fingertips. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new highlighter to add to their kit!”

DU’IT Tough Hands for HER

bh’s Rosie says:

“One of my pet peeves with most hand creams is the greasy, sticky feeling that they can leave behind. The DU’IT Tough Hands for HER hand cream has more of a gel-like texture, which seems to absorb into my skin more quickly, and leaves them feeling super hydrated. I have very dry skin, so the vitamin E and sweet almond milk in this formula is a godsend for my parched hands. I’ve been using it regularly for about three weeks now, and I’m super happy to say that I’m completely sold on this repairing cream.”

Bondi Scrubs Coconut Coffee Body Scrub – Bubblegum

bh’s Eloise says:

“If you love body scrubs then you HAVE to try out the Bondi Scrubs Coconut Coffee Body Scrub in Bubblegum. I love coffee, coconut and bubblegum individually, so had some initial reservations about the three being mixed together. But using this body scrub was like the first time I tried chocolate with popcorn, or vegemite with avocado; the combination shouldn’t work, but it really, really does! Firstly though, the packaging is cute. It’s all black aside from a bright pop of rainbow gumballs on the front. When you open it, the sweet bubblegum scent hits you right away! The smell took me straight back to my childhood. It also mingles with the coffee aroma which is a surprisingly great combination. As I scrubbed in circular motions, I found that a little went a long way. With other scrubs I’ve powered through them quickly, so it’s nice that this one gives you a lot of value for money. After scrubbing in the shower, I left it for about 30 to 60 seconds before rinsing. Afterwards, my skin reached a whole new level of smooth! I turned into that annoying person who demands everyone touch their smooth leg. I think the mix of raw sugar, ground coffee beans and coconut oil was what left my skin that soft. Also, it was fabulous to find out (after already loving the product) that it was cruelty free and preservative free. Everyone should try this one out!”

Lady Jayne Professional Vaddle™ Brush

bh’s Kate says:

“I’ve been looking for a new paddle brush and I’ve definitely found a favourite in the Lady Jayne Professional Vaddle Brush. The best thing about this brush is that not only is it a paddle brush, it’s also a vent brush – hence the name vaddle! It’s the ultimate 2-in1 brush that cuts my styling time in half, which is very handy in the morning after my post-gym shower. The paddle base of the brush is nice and wide so it means the brush grabs more hair than a normal brush. Then the vents allow the air flow from my hair dryer to really move through every strand, which makes my hair dry so much quicker. It also makes my hair lovely and smooth without compromising on volume and movement which is essential for my thick hair. I’ve also noticed less frizz, my hair is much shinier after I use the Vaddle brush and the ionic bristles move through my hair really easily. It’s best suited to those with medium to long, thicker hair types like mine. I think it could be your new favourite, too!”
