Celebrities have access to some of the best beauty products, experts and treatments on the market. But that doesn’t stop many of them from denying they’ve had cosmetic enhancements such as Botox, and attributing sudden changes in their appearance on ‘makeup tricks’.
However, Olivia Colman isn’t most people.
In fact, the refreshingly candid actress dropped a bombshell during a press junket for her latest film Wicked Little Letters — she’s had “loads” of Botox apparently.
The confession was the result of a hilarious interaction between Olivia and BBC Radio 2 Broadcaster and former model Vernon Kay, when Kay realised they’re the same age.
“Hang on, we’re the same age,” the BBC Radio 2 presenter exclaimed mid-interview, to which she replied: “Really? I look like your mum.”
“Are you 50?,” he politely whispered behind a raised hand during his interview with Olivia and her co-star Jessie Buckley.
“Yes! You look so young. That’s really annoying,” the actress joked. “How much Botox have you had?”
“None,” said Kay, which prompted the actress to reveal without batting an eyelid: “Oh, I’ve had loads!”.
“Have you?,” Kay said shocked.
“Yeah!,” she replied.
“Does it hurt?,” he asked.
“Yeah! It’s needles in your face,” she responded wryly.

The hilarious interaction has bolstered fans love for the British actress and her honesty.
“Olivia Colman’s inability to filter her thoughts is what I live for,” someone said in the comments section, while other’s referred to the actress as a “treasure” and “down to earth”.
One TikTok user even commended her injector for their undetectable work: “What? She looks so good and natural!!”.
