6 New Year's Eve-worthy makeup looks

New Year’s Eve is the kind of night that divides people. Some love ringing in the new year in the glitziest, most glamorous way, while others don’t love all the hype surrounding it.
But whatever your opinion of New Year’s Eve, it is a night to celebrate all the wonderful things that happened and usher in a new year of possibilities. And whether you’re out on a yacht in Sydney Harbour or at a friend’s place watching the fireworks on TV, you should take the opportunity to get a little dolled up. Hey, you know what they say: the way you bring in the new year is the way you will spend it. So why wouldn’t you want to look show-stoppingly fabulous?
To get you there, here are six make-up looks that scream New Year’s Eve – all you have to do it pick the one you like best.
RADIANT GODDESS
This is all about adding radiance and shine to your skin without making yourself look too shimmery. The best way to achieve this look is to use an illuminating bronzer and highlighter on your cheekbones, forehead and chin (we love Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Beige – it’s got all the tones you need to highlight).
Finish off the look with simply-lined eyes, a few lashings of mascara and a nude or nude-pink lipstick. Max Factor Colour Elixir in Stardust pink is our pick.
NEXT UP: WINGED LINER
What would be your ultimate New Year’s Eve make-up look? Would you try a radiant finish?

This is my least favourite look, I think her face looks a little too bronzy and shimmery ... it actually is a bit aging .... She looks gorgeous I'd just tone down the shimmery bronzy bit and I'd prefer a bit more colour on her lips ... she has fabulous lips, I'd accentuate them ... her eyes look amazing!

This shimmery look would not be suitable for the mature lady.

I think she went just a little overboard with the highlighter - she looks almost shiny.

I love this look. You can't go past a dewy glow during Summer.

Sorry about my previous messed up post. I couldn't see the text at the bottom in the small window which I was trying to do a cut and paste in.

I know that this is just a trend and many celebrities do the nude lip thing, but I am so over seeing this look. It also features strongly on beautyheaven. I would love to see makeup looks with a bit more colour and creative flair.
I do not like the nude lip look. I think that her bronzed cheeks and highlighter are overdone. I know that these are just trends, and many celebrities wear this look, but I am so over them. The nude lip thing features strongly on beautyheaven. I would love to see makeup looks with a bit more colour and creative flair.
