These are the top-selling beauty products in the world right now

We’re often throwing away the phrases ‘best seller’, ‘cult favourite’ or (our personal fave) ‘the must-have product on everyone’s shelves’… but what does it actually mean to reach such popularity?

When a beauty product delivers results, word travels fast. And by fast, we mean every 20 seconds kind of fast.

Check out which of your much loved products are flying off the shelves, or better yet, the accompanying (and fascinating stats) that you can whip out at your next dinner party.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

There are very few people who wouldn’t recognise this pink and green lash legend.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara is so popular that they sell one every two seconds.

Yes, you read that correctly. That’s more than 40,000 per day.

Weleda Skin Food

There isn’t much that Weleda’s Skin Food can’t do.

It’s our go-to when hands are dry from over washing (something we are all familiar with at the moment), elbows are cracked and lips are chapped. You can use it as a face mask, eye cream, body moisturiser or to treat scars, eczema, and even your feet and cuticles.

So, when we tell you that one of these sells every 16 seconds, are you really surprised?

Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

Paula’s Choic 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, otherwise known as their no. 1 product worldwide.

This leave-on exfoliant is a cult favourite, selling approx one every twenty seconds.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

There isn’t a beauty buff in sight who doesn’t have one of these bad boys in their bathroom cabinet.

Widely regarded as the best micellar water in the game,  Bioderma Sensibio H2O sells every three seconds around the globe.

Go-To Transformazing Sheet Mask

Zoë Foster-Blake originally intended for Transformazing to be a cream mask, until an early 3am thought saw her change her vision.

And boy did that turn out to be a good decision.

Appearing as a guest on ‘The Glow Journal’, a beauty podcast hosted by Gemma Watts, Zoe revealed to listeners that Go-To sell one Transformazing every10 SECONDS!!

$9, Mecca

Trilogy Rosehip Oil

Trilogy Rosehip Oil has 10 different uses and one is sold every 20 seconds, so it must be delivering some sort of magic! Word on the street is the Duchess of Cambridge is a massive fan too…

Go-To Face Hero Oil

Another one from Go-To because this Australian brand sure does have some great stats.

Face Hero is another best-seller from Zoë Foster-Blake’s brain child, selling one bottle of the glorious oil every minute!

$45, Mecca

  1. Bioderma…..yes there are cheaper micellar waters available, but nothing compares to Bioderma. It removes every trace of make up, leaving behind no residue. It just cannot be beaten for quality. I’ve tried just about every alternative on the market but I’ll always come back to Bioderma.

  2. I’ve used a few of these. Weleda is new to me and I’m totally head over heels in love. I look forward to Priceline stocking it so I can check out the whole range.

  3. Had skin food and trilogy oil but passed them on to family. My skin does need oil or rich creams. Go to not for me either, tried samples given to me. No. Micellars use rarely and bioderma still have in stash. It works well, but as any micellar I've used so far, they all do.

  4. I love Go-to Face Hero oil, it's one of the best oils!! Go to products are generally pretty good, I haven't tried the face masks as yet but I have tried their face oil and face wash, and I am happy to say I am glad they made it on the list!!

  5. I have the go to face hero after a friend recommended it but I must be the only person that doesn't love it. It has great reviews but it doesn't work well on my skin. My skin is dry and this hasn't helped at all. I didn't notice any difference in my skin which is a shame.

  6. Trilogy Rosehip oil is amazing and I always have some on hand also love the Bioderma's toner. I'm not a fan of the Maybelline mascara it just didn't give me the lashes I wanted.

  7. Don't use any of these, although I have used products from a couple of the brands mentioned (Weleda – their Skin Food Light is wonderful – and Trilogy – long-time fan of the brand, just haven't used their rosehip oil as that stuff & my skin don't always get along & I prefer other oils).
