Friday favourites

We love a Friday in beautyheaven. We kick start the one-day-to-weekend countdown with an early yoga session, observe our Chocolate Fondue Friday tradition after lunch and then often end up popping a cork or two to celebrate the end of a hard day’s work.

But my absolute favourite thing about Friday is the chance to play with the gorgeous goodies, lotions and potions that land on my desk during the week. Here are a few of my most-loved new finds…

It was lust at first sight when I met Clinique’s Limited Edition True Bronze Shimmering Tones Bronzing Powder ($59). Oil-free to turn up your glow without adding shine, this gorgeous mosaic swirls together to sun-kiss you all over, or you can single out specific colours to highlight, sculpt and shade brow bones, cheeks and eyes. It’s beyond pretty.

I’m also loving the Cargo Cosmetics Vacation Make-Up kit ($59) because it’s the best of both worlds. As well as an edit of cute-as-can-be minis for putting on your

party face on the move (including mascara!), it also contains a full sized pot of my favourite blush, BeachBlush in Coral Beach. No need for a holiday, these travellers are coming home with me now!

Neutrogena Rapid Clear Spot Eliminating Gel ($13.99) is my next best beauty discovery. It absolutely blitzed the spot that was brewing on my nose last night, threatening to take some of the fun out of my Friday. As promised, eight hours later the little offender was rendered harmlessly flat and concealable. A little lifesaver!

Next, my fragrant find: Dreaming by Tommy Hilfiger (from $55). Yes, I know I’ve been going on about this since Monday, but for a perfume fiend like me, that’s a sure sign of sincere and pure love. It’s just so sophisticated and grown up for a Hilfiger scent. Plus it gets a compliment every single time I wear it and makes me feel glorious. And dreamy…

I could go on about pretty new things until Monday – but then I wouldn’t have the chance to show off my Chandelier Shine gloss and polish set from Napoleon Perdis ($30). I’m excited by any self co-ordinating beauty buys, but I’m beside myself about these gleaming lip and nail combos. Especially since the orange-red Lust set is going to rock the frock I’m wearing out tonight.
