The Exact Products Ada Nicodemou’s Hair And Makeup Artist Used For Her Logies Look

by
Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart

Home and Away mainstay Ada Nicodemou made a welcome appearance on the Logies red carpet on Sunday, and the actress used the occasion to hard launch her relationship with fellow cast member James Stewart.

Although one might surmise her glowing complexion was the result of her newfound romance — after speaking to her hair and makeup artist Rosemary Saffioti — we happen to think Rose’s handiwork might have had something to do with it too.

With a background in television and film, the hair and makeup artist has an uncanny ability for transforming her clients into picture perfect versions of themselves, which is exactly what she did for Ada.

Rose told beautyheaven that she was inspired to create “unique, powerful, fierce and elegant” hair and makeup for the Home and Away star for the biggest night in Australian film and television.

Ada wore her hair pulled back in an elegant, wavy ponytail, and Rose perfected her complexion with handful of radiance-enhancing base products and creamy cheek products. The hair and makeup artist finished the look with a smouldering smokey eye and a peachy-nude, glossy lip look.

Want to emulate Ada’s look at home? These are the exact products Rose used for the Logies…

The skin prep & complexion

To create Ada’s airbrushed complexion Rose used a combination of rich hydrators — Sisley Paris Ecological Compound Advanced Formula ($395 from David Jones) and Weleda Skin Food Light ($23.16 from Priceline) — to prep the skin. Then she applied the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation in ‘3N’ ($100 from Sephora) in sheer layers to build coverage as needed.

The cheeks and contour

To accentuate Ada’s naturally high cheekbones, Rose sculpted the hollow part of the actress’ cheeks with the creamy Tom Ford Shade And Illuminate Contour Duo ($154 from MYER). Then, Rose used the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in ‘Petal Poppin’ ($35 from Sephora) to add a pop of cheek-enhancing colour on the apples of Ada’s cheeks, blending upwards to lift the face.

The eye makeup

Ada’s smokey eye was undeniably the centre point of her flawless red carpet makeup. Rose told beautyheaven she used a combination of moody hues from the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in ‘002 Smokey Essentials’ ($96 from Dior). Further defining the Home and Away stars’ almond eyes with the best-selling M.A.C. Cosmetics Pro Longwear Fluidline Gel Liner ($41 from M.A.C. Cosmetics) and M.A.C. Cosmetics Extended Play Gigablack Lash ($48 from M.A.C. Cosmetics).

The lip combination

We don’t know about you, but we’re forever pestering makeup artists, celebrities, friends and family for their ultimate lip combo. Thankfully, Rose gave over Ada’s Logies lip combo without has having to beg too hard. The makeup artist lined the actress’ lips with Hailey Bieber’s favourite lip liner: Makeup For Ever Artist Colour Pencil in ‘600 Anywhere Caffeine’ ($35 from Sephora). Then she added a peachy pop of colour in the centre of her pout with the Melissa Gigliotti Cosmetics MG Lipstick in ‘Warm Nude’ ($36 from Melissa Gigliotti Cosmetics). Then topped off the look with the Dior Addict Lip Maximiser Plumping Gloss ($64 from Adore Beauty).

The hair styling routine

If you thought Rose used an arsenal of hair products to create Ada’s updo, you’d be wrong. The actress has been blessed with the most healthy, thick and glossy hair we think we’ve ever seen. Instead, Rose used a combination of the Kérastase Elixir Ultime Original Hair Oil ($80 from Adore Beauty) and the De Lorenzo Afterglow Shine Spray ($22.95 from Amazon Australia) to enhance shine, and smooth flyaways and frizz. Then she created subtle waves by lightly tonging the lengths of her hair with the ghd curve® Soft Curl Tong Hair Curler ($224 from The Iconic).
