6 things we can all learn from Kim Kardashian

There’s probably no celebrity better known than Kim Kardashian. Every hair colour change she’s ever had has been well documented. Her pregnancy, engagement, wedding, and even post-baby weight loss made international headlines. And her reality TV show, Keeping up with the Kardashians, pulls in ratings like no other.

Yeah, pretty much everyone knows who she is, so everyone has an opinion about her (even my grandmother does).

But whether you love her, hate her, or feel incredibly indifferent towards her and the Kardashian clan (which is doubtful), there’s no denying we’ve all learnt (or can learn) a beauty trick or two from the reality TV queen.

To celebrate Kim Kardashian’s 34th birthday, here are six things the stunner has taught us:

A neutral lip colour can be glamorous

Have you ever seen Kim Kardashian not looking 110 per cent glam? The proof is in the pudding.

Perfecting the closed-mouth-smile/no-smile is hard

Seriously, how many times have you tried to do it and you’ve just ended up looking miserable? Mastering the perfect balance of smiling and being deadpan and looking good is damn hard. Props to you, Kimmy K – you’ve made it look easy as.

Almost anyone can go blonde

Even Kim, with her nearly jet-black hair, dipped her toes in the light-haired pool. And she looked ah-mazing. Lesson learnt: you just need to find the blonde that works with your hair colour and make sure it’s blended well.

Power brows are everything

Just look at what they do for her face! Filling in your brows (with pencil, powder or mousse) can do wonders to define your features and add some oomph to your overall look.

There’s nothing wrong with finding a make-up look that works and sticking with it

Nine times out of 10, you’ll see Kim sporting the same make-up look: warm, bronzed skin, thick lashes, and a neutral lip. But it works. If you find the make-up look that suits you, ain’t nothing wrong with rocking it day, night and any time in between.

But a bright red lip should always make an appearance

Even if you couldn’t be more scared of a bright lip colour, give a vibrant and bold red a go. There’s nothing that can lift your mood and brighten up your look quite as much as the eye-catching hue.

What do you admire about Kim Kardashian’s beauty look? Which beauty look would you like to recreate?
