Victoria’s Secret Angels’ fitness regimes revealed

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show has been and gone, and while we’ll have to wait a while to actually see it on TV, I’ll be occupying myself in the meantime copying the girls’ workouts. 

Yep, while the likes of Karlie Kloss, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio are all obviously naturally beautiful, staying that toned does require some serious dedication.

Whether it’s getting that washboard stomach or gloriously lithe legs, they all spend a LOT of time in the gym. Thankfully, the girls love to share pictures of themselves working out via Instagram – so we can get a good idea of exactly what moves get Victoria’s Secret-worthy results.

Putting most of us to shame, Alessandra is a self-professed gym junkie whose regime includes working out. Every. Single. Day.

To stave off boredom (and promote maximum tone-age), the Brazilian beauty varies her training. First, she does a cardio or core session (often Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, or pilates, yoga or spinning). She then follows this up with a weights session involving a killer combo of lunges, squats and machine work to build up muscle tone.

The star also uses ballet-based workouts to keep fit (like the posture-perfecting Xtend Barre class we reviewed here).

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Behati Prinsloo takes a more outdoorsy approach to fitness. The Namibian model loves swimming and surfing, and is regular at Pilates, paddle boarding and even golf!

Finally, my personal favourite is Karlie Kloss, who rises early to exercise four to five times a week. Fuelling her body with nutritious green juices, the American supermodel is a big fan of SoulCycle, Pilates, weights training and running. And her favourite trick for defined abs? “Good old-fashioned sit-ups”.
