Well guys, it’s that time of the year again – the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. We get to marvel at the gorgeous models, beautiful lingerie and fun (and not at all staged) angel antics. While I’m all about #bodyconfidence it would still take a lot for me to walk down a runway in my underwear. Snaps for the angels, right? Their rockin’ bods don’t come easy, and the angels spilled their fitness secrets on the day of the show to Here’s how they change their diet and training habits in the lead up to their walk on the infamous runway.

Alessandra Ambrosio

“I started three months ago trying to work out every day. I do different things—Pilates, barre, Physique 57 yoga, outside sports, all kinds of things. The last week, I do eat differently, yes. I cut the carbs and the sugar, and I eat protein, but I don’t know whether cheese is considered a carb. I could never survive without cheese.” We hear ya Alessandra! #cheeseforlyf

Lily Aldridge

“About two months in advance, I’ll start amping up my workouts and changing my diet slightly. And I’ll go to two workouts a day. I’ll do Ballet Beautiful and Pilates – it just depends on which city I’m in. In Nashville, I’ll do Pilates, and here [in NY], I do Ballet Beautiful. I eat a lot of protein and vegetables, I love to make myself roast chicken. And I feel good now. I feel confident and ready for the runway.”

“Basically, everything I can possibly do is on my mind a month before, but two weeks before is when I really focus. I do a lot of resistance training, weights, yoga, and Pilates. I eat what I usually eat, maybe even a little bit more, because I’m tired from working out, but I eat clean.”

Constance Jablonski

“It’s easy. I’m a model the whole year long. This isn’t the only show that I do. I always have to be ready, so I work out the whole year long. I’ll do a class at a gym, and then I run outside and play tennis… With three weeks to go, I have no excuses. I always eat well, but I do like to have some good chocolate and snacks here and there. Indulgence is really important once in a while. It’s all about balance. That said, I’ve been cutting down on snacks for two weeks.”

Martha Hunt

“This is my third VS fashion show. And it doesn’t really get easier every year, it just gets more exciting. It was tough, because I had a really bad flu for a couple of weeks… But once I got rid of the flu, I just really started training hard, nonstop, every day. For training, we do a lot of resistance bands, Pilates, and weight training. My trainer is really good at mixing it up and working on areas I don’t necessarily see that need help. And I eat very clean, very boring stuff—a lot of protein, a lot of vegetables, a lot of good carbs, like quinoa and rice. Not a lot of bread. I miss bread, and I can’t wait to have pizza tonight. This is the first year I’ve ever thought about bloating. Yesterday, I was very conscious about not eating watery vegetables.”

Behati Prinsloo

“I work out. I eat healthy. I have a trainer. We do weight training, and we do a lot of cardio. We do some Pilates, I do yoga, and I try and cut out artificial sugar and the carbs. I also get a Ling facial here in New York, an oxygen one.”

“Normally, I work out three times a week, but I amp it up to seven days a week. I do Pilates, some barre classes, weight training, and lots of squats, because our butts have to look good on the runway. And because I’m working out so much, to keep up the energy, I eat a lot of protein and feed my muscles.”

Monika ‘Jac’ Jagaciak

“I think a month before is the time when you realize, ‘Oh, the show is coming. I have to step it up a little bit.’ It’s more that I work out almost every day, and normally I only do it three times a week. I do a little bit of boxing, a little bit of Pilates. It’s a mix of things. And I just eat healthy, three proper meals a day and then some snacks in between. What would I avoid? Uh, probably dairy. I think dairy makes you a little bloated.” I don’t think cutting out dairy unless you have an intolerance is particularly good for you, but the gal does look awesome!
