I don’t know about you, but personally I really like tea. Plus, it’s good for you, so that makes me love it even more! There are so many different options and some of them are super-beneficial, so why not drink a cup or two every now and then?
For example, green tea and white tea are both rich in antioxidants, so they will make your skin look a lot better. They are also used for reducing cholesterol and are meant to help with weight-loss, so if you’re looking into that, maybe give those teas a try (but honestly, nothing beats some exercise!).
Mint tea is also good for your skin, it helps relieve IBS and headaches and it also helps you relax. Speaking of relaxing, camomile tea is great as a bedtime cuppa as it will relax you and put you to sleep, all the while doing wonders for your skin! Cold camomile tea-soaked cotton wool pads can be applied to your eyes and skin in general to help reduce the blotchiness and redness, too! So if you didn’t get enough sleep or you cried your little eyes out, use this trick to make it less obvious!
Pomegranate and various berry teas (blueberry, cranberry etc.) will also do wonders for your skin, because they are rich in antioxidants. Because they are herbal (decaf) teas, you are able to drink them at night time and they will not keep you awake. Another plus side is they are delicious, so if you drink plenty of them and your skin will thank you for it.
If you’re experiencing some cold and flu symptoms, you might want to drink some apple and cinnamon tea. Cinnamon also gives relief from nasties such as period pain, diarrhoea and nausea. Rosehip tea will also help fight those symptoms, so if you prefer the taste of rosehip, perhaps try that instead.
So there you have it, my darlings, drink yourselves beautiful and healthy. And don’t blame me if you start spending money on various teas, I’m merely suggesting them for your own good!
Do you drink tea? Which one is your favourite?
