Despite never actually doing any interviews around her healthy lifestyle, we know a lot about Kate Middleton’s diet. In fact, the royal rumour mill works overtime when it comes to anything Kate.
From the shampoo she uses to her favourite perfume, her list of royally-approved products is long. But because we all know the key to looking and feeling great starts from the inside, details of her workout routine and daily eating habits are also a big part of her holistic wellbeing.
So if you’re looking to be inspired to nourish your body with good-for-you foods, here’s what Kate Middleton eats on the regular.
Kate Middleton’s diet details
It’s been widely reported that Kate’s eating habits are similar to the Dukan Diet, which favours lean protein, fruits, vegetables and healthy fats and oils.

Breakfast
Kate is a big fan of smoothies and often has one to start her day. According to the Daily Mail, it typically contains “spirulina, kale, matcha, spinach, romaine, cilantro and blueberries”. So think less dairy, more greens.
Lunch
Ever tried a watermelon salad? A recipe featuring watermelon, avocado, cucumber and feta cheese is said to be a favourite of Kate’s for lunch. And one we’re definitely trying come summer!

According to the Daily Mail, raw foods often feature at midday meal time and Kate Middleton’s diet also includes gazpacho and tabbouleh. She’s also reportedly a big fan of ceviche – AKA raw fish marinated in the juice of lemons or limes and spices.
Snacks
Although we’d love to say Kate has a weak spot for BBQ Shapes at snack time, she tends to stick to fruits and vegetables (particularly goji berries) when the munchies strike. She also once told a child at Great Ormand Street hospital that she ate lots of olives when she was little, which could still be a snack habit today.
When raw food isn’t enough, she’ll reach for popcorn — a low-calorie snack to keep her full in between meal times.

Dinner
A traditionalist when it comes to dinner, Kate is said to enjoy heartier meals in the evening. Particularly ones she can share with her family. In 2012, Vanity Fair wrote that “in the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken.”
Her other go-to recipes include curry and soups. Kate and Will are also reportedly fans of sushi.

Dessert
Former royal chef Darren McGrady revealed via Youtube that sticky toffee pudding is one of Kate’s favourite desserts. “She’s got to eat healthy all week and then, this is a special treat on a weekend, the sticky toffee pudding,” he said.
Honestly, we’re drooling just thinking about it.

I couldnt do the watermelon salad especially with the feta.
Kate is so structured. I wish I was as strong !
I know it’s a healthy diet, but I just don’t like a lot of the foods she eats.
Whatever she eats, it seems to work for her. It’s hard when you have foods you can’t eat. Everything that is great to have, I can’t have majority of them. I just compromise with what I can have. I wonder if Kate ever has chocolate though?
I have a son in law who is dairy free and I find it a hassle remembering what he can and what he cannot eat.
Love to try watermelon salad. It looks refreshing and great for summer.
