Do you find yourself grazing on food all day long? Do you always have to have some sort of snack in front of you, often more out of boredom than hunger? Then you sound like a mindless muncher, and we’ve got a few top tips to prevent the endless snacking, and help you cut down on unhealthy eating at the same time…

Tip 1: Red lipstick

This may sound a little silly, but when you’ve taken the time to perfect a brilliant red lip from scratch (I’m talking lip pencil, lipstick and gloss), odds are you won’t want to wreck it – if you can help it. I find a bold lip stops me from unnecessary munching (because I know just how hard it can be to achieve such a brilliant lip look!).

Tip 2: Drink more

Sometimes when you think we’re hungry, you’re actually just thirsty. A big glass of water can help you to feel more full (and contribute to your goal of 8 glasses a day!). If you feel like you need something a little more substantial, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee – or better still, a green tea and see if you feel better.

Tip 3: Choose snacks wisely

If you really want to have snack foods around you so you can graze during the day, ensure you keep any lollies, chocolates or crisps well away from your reach. Swap crunchy potato chips for crunchy rice cakes, or snow peas and green beans, and sugary chocolate and lollies for nuts or a dried fruit mix.
