Have you heard of Ashy Bines and her 12 Week Bikini Body Challenge? What about her Clean Living Diet Plan? No? Well, she’s a Gold Coast model-turned-healthy-eating-crusader, and she’s all about helping you lose weight the smart way. Yes, you.

And because we’re attempting to be a bunch of healthy little coconuts here at beautyheaven HQ, we tracked down Ashy Bines so we could steal her healthy living secrets and implement them for ourselves. Oh, and we also nicked a few beauty tips, of course. We simply couldn’t resist…

beautyheaven: What are your top tips for looking and feeling beautiful?
Ashy Bines: A balanced life – too much of anything is bad for you. Oh, and plenty of water, fresh foods and fresh air, and having positive people around me!

bh: What foods do you eat in order to maintain your healthy body?  
AB: Lots of good fats, lean proteins and some healthy carbs for fuel. I love my lean meats, chicken and kangaroo, and I also LOVE freshly grilled fish and I cook EVERYTHING soaked in coconut oil! I also stay away from alcohol and anything that’s deep-fried.

bh: Why does the Ashy Bines Clean Eating Diet Plan work for so many people?
AB: It’s [a plan filled with] natural foods that fuel our bodies to give us energy to get through the days, plus it’s not overloaded with sugars, which cause weight gain, bad moods and low energy. Also, the amount of support [the plan offers], which includes myself, a dietician, another personal trainer and over 37,000 other girls helps to support everyone throughout their journey.

bh: What are your top health tips for getting your body ready for summer?
AB: Drinking water and eating brightly coloured vegetables, and I always start my day with a fat burning walk (a 45 minute walk on an empty tummy).

bh: What kind of exercise routines should we all be doing?
AB: A mix of everything – walking, weight training and some high intensity interval training like stairs and hill sprints. I do a bit of everything each week. TRAIN THE SAME, REMAIN THE SAME – love that saying!

bh: What beauty products do you swear by?
AB: Sunscreen, and I love rosehip oil as a moisturiser… I believe a healthy diet and lots of water also helps in keeping my skin clear!

bh: Finally, what are your tips for maintaining a healthy body once you’ve reached your ideal weight?
AB: Find a type of training you ENJOY – I love training with my partner and best friend so I never hate it. I also love to pump my music up loud. And once you’re maintaining your weight, don’t be so paranoid about having a wine or meal out with your friends. Life’s too short not to be balanced!
