Competition: beautyheaven’s BlogStar promotion

Although it’s more of a tradition in the USA the Most Likely To awards are making their presence known around Australia. Year 12 students everywhere are secretly hoping their name is called, or not, depending on the category. I myself missed out on an award at my graduation, I just wasn’t popular enough for a look in. But I have put that behind me and instead host my own awards, with truly deserving winners. The Most Likely To… Beauty awards!

Most Likely To: Save the Planet
•    Lush
The nude products mantra, skincare sans packaging, may well be the way of the future. With climate change the buzz words on every politician’s lips, green girlies are looking for ways to help out without cutting down. The answer seems pretty clear, same amount of product, little or no impact on the environment. Just doing our bit, right?

Most Likely To: Save Our Skin
•    Galderma
When skin starts a itchin an’a burnin any girl worth her National Pharmacies card reaches for the Cetaphil. No nasties in sight this is the one product you can always rely on to calm and soothe irritation and get you through those ‘red’ days.

Most Likely To: Melt Our Hearts
•    Benefit
No Betty, Gabbi or Lana can go past the sweet packaging and adorable names of Benefit products. Luckily for makeup addicts the goo inside is generally pretty good with Erase Paste rating highly in my personal book. Odds are this brand will always attract a cult following, especially for its aesthetics.

Most Likely To: Free Our Credit Cards
•    Neutrogena
With Deep Clean Cream Cleanser rating as one of the top must have products it would seem that cheap does not always equal substandard. In fact it was hard to select just one winner as so many companies are making great quality affordable products.

Most Likely To: Keep us Guessing
•    Bobbi Brown
Every season Bobbi Brown releases the most to-die-for compacts that scream ‘buy me!’ The company sees a huge success year after year by keeping their die hard customers happy with a large range of dependable products yet continually attract new fans with innovative additions to their lines.

Most Likely To: Drive Men Wild
•    Chanel
Ok yes Keira Knightly does drive men wild as well but it’s the irresistible fragrances produced by cult brand Chanel I am thinking of. From the classic Chanel No 5 whose fans include vixens such as Marilyn Monroe and Nicole Kidman to the half naked Keira promoting the lighter Coco Mademoiselle, this is one fragrance house that will never go out of fashion. Plus it remains the one brand men can actually name when they think of women’s perfume, birthday list anyone?

I know there will be brands that feel they have been overlooked, as though it was all just a popularity contest and that everyone has their own opinions about which brands are winners. For now though, it’s my list and I’m sticking to it!!
