BlogStar entry: Hairy McLairy

Competition: beautyheaven’s BlogStar promotion

Hairy McLairy…the poor dog in that storybook. Wouldn’t you be offended if someone called you Hairy? I can relate to good old Hairy McLairy, in between my wax appointments when I let the stubble on my legs turn to strands as long as Rapunzel’s hair. I wear tights so the sun doesn’t reveal my shame, and dance like a penguin on the dance floor, too scared to raise my arms because I forgot to shave. How embarrassing!

Most of us want to shed our winter coat (come on, I know you let it cultivate!) and save time for other priorities but while most of us are familiar with certain methods of hair removal we are all too aware many treatment can be costly and in effective.ӬӬFear not! These three little letters will change your life: IPL.
Intense Pulse Light therapy (IPL) is a highly effective method of hair removal for men and women who want to rid hair with fast and effective results. The procedure requires a simple salon booking. It is a pain-free procedure and can take as little at five minutes to do. IPL treatments can be performed on most areas of the body and results can be seen in as little as one to two visits, however treatment times of 6-8 visits are generally recommended.

For NSW readers Ella Rouge Beauty salons specialize in IPL treatments. Rachelle Johnston, manager of Ella Rouge at Erina specialises in IPL treatments and has performed the treatment for over two years. She believes in the treatment because she sees results. Many clients Rachelle receives are via word-of-mouth from past clients who are thrilled with their desired results. IPL works most effectively on dark hair on a fair to tanned skin because the light is attracted to pigment within the skin.
”¨Feeling like ‘Thing’ from The Addams Family (remember the hairy feller?) I decided to give it a try. Since June, I have had five IPL treatments (regular visits of 4-5 weeks are most effective for results) for my under arms and brazilian regions and the results are really show. Less hair is present, hair is softer and finer, easier to wax and pluck, and there are many completely bald patches already. In fact, I am so happy with the results I am going to have my lower legs treated in the New Year.

Would you give it a try? Let me know your thoughts.
