The key features of the latest looks: lined eyes, natural cheeks and nude lips.

Kate Moss appeared effortlessly chic at the recent Topshop after-show party. To steal her look, draw a liquid line along the top lashes, add a touch of bronze to the cheekbones, and paint your pout pinkish-nude.

Glow girl! To get Kate’s healthy glow, swirl a large, fluffy powder brush in bronzing powder and tap off any excess; then, blend it over the cheekbones using upward and downward strokes.

Kate Hudson was last sighted sporting a strong eye and neutral-lacquered lip. The lowdown: She wore a wash of metallic grey shadow over the eyelid, lots of black liner, and lashings of mascara. With her long, blonde locks and glowing skin as a backdrop, her eyes popped. Boom, boom, pow!

Emphasise your eyes! For full-looking top lashes, push the tip of a black eyeliner pencil right into the roots and place the colour between the lashes. To eliminate gaps, work from the underside and line the upper inner rim of the eye.

Lindsay Lohan let her hair down at the Nu Pop Movement launch party in L.A. Despite her dishevelled appearance she pulled her look together with defined eyebrows, black smudgy lined eyes, pale lips and bare cheeks.

Want well-defined eyebrows? First, comb them in an upward direction and tweeze any stray hairs. Next, fill in any gaps in the hair growth with pencil or powder; and lastly, brush on some brow gel.

Jennifer Aniston stepped out looking sexy and sun-kissed. To mimic her makeup, pair dark-rimmed eyes and mascara-laden lashes with buffed bronze cheeks and beige lips.

Lip tip! To get a true colour pay-off from a beige lipstick, tone your natural lip colour down with a layer of concealer first.

Elle Macpherson looked fresh and groomed at her lingerie launch in Germany. What she wore: chocolate-brown eyeliner teamed with a flush of pink blush and a slick of light-brown lippy.

Want to copy Elle’s designer liner? Using a series of short, overlapping strokes, work a brown pencil along the upper and lower lashes. The lines should be thicker at the outer corner of the eye, tapering inwards. For a soft and smooth finish, blend the lines with a pencil brush or cotton tip.

Angelina Jolie was recently spotted wearing a smoky version of her signature look. Borrow her beauty secrets: Smudge a black eyeliner pencil across the top lashes and sweep it along the lower inner rim of the eye, apply a dark-brown crème eyeshadow to the lid, and, to finish, slather on some nude lipgloss.

To glamorise your eyes, choose a crème-textured eyeshadow with a fleck of shimmer. For a sheer veil of colour, blend it over the eyelid with your fingertip. Or, to create drama, build intensity by pressing the shadow on with a dense-bristled eyeshadow brush.

It’s your turn now – take these trends and make them your own.
