If you’re anything like me, you love some colour on your lips. Whether it’s shiny gloss, matt lipstick or tinted lip balm, your lips are always looking their best. And why not? A splash of colour on your lips can make you feel more awake and distract those around you from the dark circles you’re rocking under your eyes. But let’s not talk about those – we will leave that story for another time.
Recently, I discovered lipstains. And oh my, was I impressed. Not only do you get colour, but it stays put for hours, and hours. They give you’re lips a beautiful hint of colour that resembles the aftermath of snacking on cherries or sucking on your favourite lolly pop. Sound delicious right? Right. The colour appears more natural than a lipstick or gloss so you’ll have all the boys fooled that your lips are totally natural. What are you talking about? I always wake up with lips like this. (I wish.)
And the fun part about lipstains? Many of them look like textas. This will no doubt take you back to your kindergarten days when textas were used for anything but drawing on the paper. Only this time, you’re totally allowed to draw on your lips. And I must admit, it feels kind of cool. Despite the enjoyment this provides, the texta-like tip actually provides easy application so you’ll never find yourself colouring outside the lines. Winner.
With no need to reapply every ten minutes like a gloss, or the high maintenance that comes with a bold lipstick, lipstain takes the cake. And who knows, it may even survive through lunch…
