How-to: extend the life of your nail polish
When it comes to nail polish, there’s nothing worse than having it chip or wear off only a day or two after painting your nails.
So here are some quick and easy tips to help you keep your nail polish on for longer and looking just as good as the day you applied it:
1) Apply a base coat. A base coat will help make the nail polish stay on your nail for longer. If your nail polish is a dark hue, it will also keep your nail from yellowing.”¨Base coats we love: CND Stickey Base Coat, Mavala Switzerland 002 Super Base Coat, and OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.
2) Apply a top coat. Once you’ve applied your nail polish, always finish off with a top coat. The top coat acts as a protective barrier, strengthening the nail and heping to prevent the nail polish from fading and chipping. 3) Protect your hands and nails. Wear gloves if you’re washing dishes, gardening, or doing any other work with your hands. This will help extend the lifespan of your nail polish from chipping.
